Vice President

I’m working on behalf of a strong, hands-on private equity firm that is looking to hire one to two Investment Professionals at the VP level in Birmingham, Alabama.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an entrepreneurial and collaborative investment platform where you would have broad responsibility across the investment lifecycle.

The role will be heavily involved in sourcing new opportunities, evaluating and diligencing prospective investments, executing transactions, and supporting portfolio companies post-close.

Key responsibilities include

• Proactively sourcing new investment opportunities through relationship development, market coverage, targeted outreach, and cold calling
• Building relationships with business owners, intermediaries, and other industry contacts
• Leading and supporting financial, commercial, and strategic due diligence
• Building detailed financial models and valuation analyses to assess investment opportunities
• Preparing investment committee materials, internal memoranda, and presentations
• Supporting transaction execution and coordinating with management teams, advisors, lenders, and other stakeholders
• Working directly with portfolio company management teams on strategic, operational, and growth initiatives
• Supporting initiatives across both capital deployment and fundraising
• Working closely with senior leadership on a wide range of investment and value creation initiatives

They are looking for someone with a background in private equity, investment banking, consulting, corporate development, or a related field, with strong financial modeling, analytical, valuation, and due diligence capabilities. Experience with business development, sourcing, proactive outreach, and cold calling would be particularly valuable.

The ideal candidate will have strong business judgment, be comfortable evaluating companies across financial, commercial, and strategic dimensions, and have a genuine interest in working closely with management teams to help build and grow businesses after an investment is made.
