The SUE Field Crew Chief responsible for conducting on-site utility designation and locating activities, mapping and marking underground utilities with precision. This role ensures accurate, efficient utility detection to support construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, and mapping projects. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.  Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located. What You Will Do: <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Perform the role of a Utility Locators/Designators and/or SUE Technician.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Using electromagnetic locators, ground-penetrating radar (GPR), and other equipment to detect and map  underground utilities.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Interpret and analyze data from locating equipment to identify utility location,  depth, and type, ensuring precise marking and documentation using industry-standard methods. </li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Conduct routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of locating equipment to maintain  accuracy and reliability.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Maintain detailed records of utility locations, equipment maintenance, and  performance, collaborating with project teams, contractors, and utility companies.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Train and mentor SUE Technicians in the use of equipment, safety procedures, and best practices for utility locating.</li> </ul> What You Will Bring: <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Utilize electromagnetic locating and ground-penetrating radar (GPR) systems to detect and accurately map underground utilities.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Assigns work, manages crew schedules, maintains project records, monitors work quality, provides performance feedback as needed.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Provide technical guidance and support to team members.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Monitor project timelines and budget constraints.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Create and maintain training guidelines, materials, and records.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Liaise with clients, project managers, and stakeholders to communicate findings and project status.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Must be able to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Good physical condition and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Must be able to frequently reach with hands and arms, bend and climb and/or balance.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Ability to use tools, and equipment.
