Position Summary
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead all marketing, advertising, and brand development initiatives. This executive role is responsible for designing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that align with company business objectives, drive revenue growth, and strengthen market positioning.
The CMO will oversee all marketing functions including advertising, public relations, promotions, pricing strategy, product positioning, and distribution strategy. This role also leads and develops the marketing team while ensuring strong collaboration across departments and maintaining positive relationships with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing Leadership
- Develop and execute company-wide marketing strategies aligned with business goals.
- Support senior leadership in defining business mission and strategic direction.
- Conduct market, competitor, and environmental analysis to guide decision-making.
- Set marketing objectives, KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Develop and manage the annual marketing budget, tracking performance and adjusting strategies as needed.
Product, Market & Distribution Strategy
- Identify customer needs and market opportunities for new and existing products.
- Provide input on product development and positioning.
- Define target markets and optimize product mix.
- Develop branding strategies across product lines.
- Recommend and evaluate distribution strategies.
Pricing Strategy
- Analyze market trends and competitor pricing strategies.
- Manage pricing structures, discount models, and promotional pricing.
- Develop pricing strategies that align with market positioning and profitability goals.
- Create and maintain customer perception mapping (value, quality, positioning).
Advertising, PR & Promotions
- Lead all advertising and public relations initiatives.
- Design and execute promotional campaigns, product launches, and marketing events.
- Establish metrics to evaluate campaign effectiveness.
- Monitor competitor marketing activity and adjust strategies accordingly.
Customer & Stakeholder Relations
- Maintain strong professional relationships with customers, distributors, vendors, and partners.
- Ensure high-quality service delivery and timely resolution of inquiries.
- Safeguard and enhance the company’s brand reputation.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and manage the marketing team.
- Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment on business objectives.
- Communicate marketing performance and key insights to executive leadership.
- Participate in company meetings, committees, and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation as required.
Additional Responsibilities
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging marketing practices.
- Lead special projects as assigned by executive leadership.
Performance Expectations
- Marketing strategies effectively support company revenue and growth targets.
- Sales forecasts are accurate and performance goals are consistently met or exceeded.
- Marketing campaigns are effective, measurable, and continuously optimized.
- Marketing team is high-performing, well-led, and properly supported.
- Leadership is consistently informed of marketing performance and key risks.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience required).
Experience
- Progressive marketing leadership experience.
- Proven success in developing and executing strategic marketing plans.
- Experience managing marketing teams and budgets.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of marketing strategy, pricing, distribution, and branding.
- Knowledge of market research, competitive analysis, and customer behavior.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management abilities.
- Proficiency with marketing tools, analytics, and general business software.
- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and industry trends.
