Powered by low-band licensed spectrum, the company's positioning and timing technology delivers accurate, reliable, and resilient 3D PNT solutions for critical infrastructure, GPS resiliency, and commercial use cases across the wireless and telecommunications ecosystem.

Position Description

Reporting to the COO, the Chief Marketing Officer will build and lead the company's brand, demand generation, and go-to-market strategy across all customer and partner segments. This role owns brand positioning, product marketing, digital and growth marketing, marketing analytics, and the overall commercial narrative that connects the company's technology to market opportunity.

The CMO will partner closely with the CEO, Sales, Product, and Engineering leadership to translate complex PNT and wireless technology into compelling market positioning, build pipeline through integrated marketing programs, and establish the company as a category leader in 3D geolocation and GPS resiliency. This executive will build and lead a high-performing marketing organization and manage all agency and vendor relationships supporting brand, creative, and digital growth, while working alongside the CEO and leadership team to support the company's standing with wireless industry associations, spectrum regulators, wireless service providers (e.g., AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile), and mobile handset providers (e.g., Apple, Samsung).

Serving as a core member of the executive team, the CMO will shape how the company is perceived by customers, partners, investors, and industry stakeholders, driving brand equity, market share, and revenue growth.

This is a hybrid role, with three days a week in our [location] office.

Responsibilities: Marketing Strategy & Brand Leadership

  • Serve as a strategic and analytical thought partner to the CEO and executive team, shaping company vision, brand identity, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Own the development and execution of the company's brand, product marketing, and positioning strategy across all market segments.
  • Build and lead demand generation and growth marketing programs, including SEO, SEM, paid and organic social, email, and web, to drive qualified pipeline.
  • Use data and analytics to measure campaign performance, marketing-sourced pipeline, and ROI, adjusting strategy to hit revenue targets.
  • Establish and manage KPIs and dashboards that connect marketing investment to business outcomes.
  • Manage outside creative, brand, digital, and growth marketing agencies.
  • Provide regular, data-backed reporting to the COO and executive team on marketing performance and recommendations for improvement.
  • Partner with Sales leadership on account-based marketing, sales enablement content, and pipeline conversion strategy.
  • Represent the company with wireless industry associations, the FCC and other spectrum regulators, wireless service providers (e.g., AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile), mobile handset manufacturers (e.g., Apple, Samsung), and other members of the telecommunications ecosystem to advance market positioning and commercial relationships.

Responsibilities: Product & Field Marketing

  • Lead product marketing strategy for the company's 3D PNT platform, including positioning, messaging, competitive intelligence, and launch planning for new products and capabilities.
  • Translate technical differentiators in low-band licensed spectrum, GPS resiliency, and 3D geolocation into market-facing value propositions for critical infrastructure, public safety, and enterprise IoT customers.
  • Direct the company's presence at wireless and telecommunications industry trade shows, standards-body events, and customer conferences, ensuring events translate into pipeline and market visibility.
  • Oversee creation of sales collateral, case studies, and customer-facing content that supports the buyer journey for wireless carriers, device makers, and infrastructure customers.
  • Ensure product and market messaging is relevant and differentiated across the industries, spectrum use cases, and regions the company serves.

  • Build a best-in-class marketing organization by mentoring current team members and adding talent in critical growth and product marketing functions.
  • Foster a data-driven, entrepreneurial marketing culture aligned to revenue and business outcomes.

Key Requirements

  • Marketing Leadership Experience. VP Marketing or CMO with 10+ years of experience building and executing marketing strategy in a growth-stage technology or infrastructure company, including a minimum of 8 years of management experience.
  • Demand Generation & Growth Expertise. Track record of building marketing programs that generate measurable pipeline and revenue impact, with strong command of marketing analytics and attribution.
  • Wireless & Telecommunications Ecosystem Experience. Experience marketing within the wireless and telecommunications ecosystem, including familiarity with spectrum, wireless carriers, mobile device manufacturers, and industry associations (e.g., wireless, IoT, geospatial, or infrastructure technology).
  • Regulated Industry Experience. Experience marketing within a regulated industry, where positioning and messaging must account for regulatory bodies and stakeholders. Direct experience with the FCC or spectrum policy is highly desirable.
  • Event & Field Marketing. Proven ability to lead strategic planning and execution of high-impact events that drive pipeline and brand visibility, with demonstrated success managing budgets efficiently in an early- or growth-stage company.
  • Startup / Scale-up Environment. Experience leading marketing in a fast-moving, resource-conscious technology company; comfortable operating with scrappiness and limited budget.
  • Team Leadership & Culture Fit. Hands-on, high-energy leader focused on team development, with experience managing distributed teams.
  • Education. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
