The Paw Promise is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abandoned and at-risk animals. In addition to our rescue efforts, we are committed to promoting responsible pet ownership through education and community outreach. As a growing organization, we are expanding our impact through fundraising initiatives, events, and partnerships within the local community.

Role Description

We are currently building a small team of passionate volunteers to help expand our impact and support our growing initiatives.

We are seeking individuals for the following roles:

• Social Media & Marketing Coordinator
• Fundraising & Events Coordinator

These roles are hybrid, involving primarily remote work with occasional in-person involvement during events in New Jersey.

This opportunity is ideal for students or early professionals seeking hands-on experience in marketing, event planning, or nonprofit work while making a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities

Social Media & Marketing Coordinator

• Create and schedule 2–3 social media posts per week
• Assist with content creation (graphics, captions, storytelling)
• Support fundraising campaigns through social media
• Help maintain a consistent and engaging online presence

Fundraising & Events Coordinator

• Plan and assist in executing fundraising events
• Reach out to local businesses for partnerships
• Brainstorm and develop fundraising ideas
• Help coordinate logistics for events

Qualifications

• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Reliable, self-motivated, and proactive
• Interest in marketing, events, or nonprofit work
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Passion for animal welfare is a plus

Time Commitment

• Approximately 2–4 hours per week
• Flexible schedule
• Occasional in-person availability for events in New Jersey
