WEEKEND EVENT SETUP & COLLECTION LEAD

$25 PER HOUR | SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS | LOS GATOS, CA

The Playday Co is a children’s play equipment-rental company providing soft-play equipment, bounce houses and other play equipment for events throughout the Bay Area.

We’re looking for a dependable and capable person to take the lead on our weekend deliveries, event setups and equipment collections. This is an important, hands-on position with the potential for increased pay after three to four months based on reliability and performance.

SCHEDULE

Applicants must be available on both Saturdays and Sundays.

Typical working windows are

• Event setups: approximately 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Equipment collections: approximately 3:00–8:00 p.m.

These are estimated windows and may vary depending on the weekend’s event schedule. Because this is a split-shift position, applicants must be comfortable working in the morning and returning for afternoon or evening collections.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive the company transit van to and from event locations
• Load equipment at our Los Gatos facility
• Deliver and professionally set up equipment before events
• Follow setup plans and ensure equipment is clean, safe and presented correctly
• Communicate politely and professionally with customers
• Return to event locations after parties Take down, pack and load all equipment carefully
• Return the equipment and van safely to our facility
• Keep to a schedule and provide updates when necessary
• Take responsibility for completing each assigned job correctly and on time

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Previous experience driving a large van or similar-sized vehicle
• Reliable and consistently punctual
• Available early mornings on Saturdays and Sundays
• Available for afternoon and evening collections on both weekend days
• Physically able to lift and carry individual equipment items weighing up to approximately 30–40 pounds
• Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for each job
• Friendly, trustworthy and professional with customers
• Reliable transportation to and from our Los Gatos facility
• Comfortable using a phone for schedules, directions and communication

PAY

• Starting pay: $25 per hour Potential pay increase after three to four months based on reliability, performance and quality of work. Part-time weekend position with hours varying according to the event schedule

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, active work and wants consistent weekend income. The right person will eventually be trusted to oversee weekend setups and collections with minimal supervision.
