Concord Theatricals is seeking a creative, detail-oriented individual who is passionate about theatre to join their team as Marketing Coordinator.
As the Marketing Coordinator,you'll support the company's licensing and retail goals through collaborative marketing initiatives. This position assists the Director, Editorial Marketing & Client Relations with written and digital content on the company’s website and editorial magazine platform. They will also create and execute content strategy for title and author promotions across all channels, under the guidance of the Senior Director, Marketing Strategy & Partnerships. Additionally, they serve as administrative support for the department, as needed.
What you'll do:
- Contribute to editorial strategy as it relates to our editorial magazine platform and website
- Support content strategy initiatives to elevate titles and authors across all marketing channels such as social media, website, eblasts, events and more
- Contribute to department’s design and graphics strategy
- Liaise with other departments and outside contacts as project manager, as necessary
- Collaborate on marketing support for the Samuel French Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival
- Collaborate on marketing support for the Concord Theatricals Recordings record label
- Provide administration support for the department, as needed
Outline of Specific Functions:
Editorial Strategy
- Support the Director, Editorial Marketing & Client Relations in updating and maintaining our 10k+ title and author pages
- Contribute to the strategy and write pieces for our editorial magazine platform
Content Strategy
- Develop engaging and creative ideas to promote titles and authors, alongside the Senior Director of Marketing Strategy & Partnerships and other team members
- Draft marketing copy for all channels including the website, social media, editorial magazine platform, print ads and email communication
- Schedule and tag all social media posts
Design & Graphics Support
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to support the department’s design and graphics work
Project Liaison
- Serve as key contact for projects with other departments or external contacts, as needed
The Samuel French Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival Support
- Collaborate with Senior Director of Marketing Strategy & Partnerships and Marketing Manager to create the marketing strategy for the Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival; includes the creation of graphics and copy assets for OOB channels (email communication, social media, website, print)
Concord Theatricals Recordings
- Support the Senior Marketing Manager of Concord Theatricals Recordings’ execution of strategy including flim shoots, promotional events and creation of social media posts
Department Support
- Manage administrative tasks for the department as necessary
What you'll need:
- 1-2 years of experience in a relevant position (marketing, communications, etc.)
- Knowledge of and/or interest in theatre and musical theatre
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Familiarity of Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) and/or other design platforms such as Canva
- Strong project management skills including exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work on simultaneous priority projects with pre-determined deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Power Point (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Understanding of common social media practices, platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok) and strategy
- Self-motivated, but takes direction well
- Proven ability to work well with all levels of professionals in a collaborative environment
- Not required, but considered a plus:
- Experience with email marketing platforms (i.e Klaviyo, Mailchimp)
- Experience with social media monitoring and analytics platforms (i.e.Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Facebook Business Manager)
- Photography and videography experience (filming, editing, etc.)
Salary Range: $50,000 - 55,000
*This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days minimum on-site.
