Our client in the global marketing services industry is seeking a Vice President, Marketing Strategy Consulting who will play a pivotal role in overseeing a consulting practice in a marketing agency setting, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality client outcomes, and driving the growth of the consulting business.
What you will do:
- Develop go-to-market strategies.
- Craft product commercialization strategies.
- Align sales and marketing efforts.
- Establish revenue growth programs.
- Plan and oversee brand awareness, lead generation, and lead nurturing campaigns.
- Create and implement account-based marketing programs.
- Lead strategic direction and provide operational oversight for consulting initiatives.
- Ensure the delivery of exceptional client work and maintain high-quality standards.
- Develop and implement scalable processes to optimize consulting operations.
- Mentor and support consultants, fostering professional growth and skill development.
- Drive new business growth and contribute to revenue generation strategies.
Leadership and Team Enablement
- Lead, mentor, and coach the consulting team, fostering professional growth and high performance.
- Serve as a resource for consultants, providing guidance on client strategy and project execution.
- Empower team members through effective delegation; while ensuring they deliver consistent, high-quality work.
- Build and sustain a positive, collaborative team culture.
Operational Oversight and Quality Assurance
- Oversee all client engagements, ensuring they meet quality standards, align with client objectives, and are delivered on time and within scope.
- Act as the final quality check on key deliverables, providing actionable feedback to maintain exceptional standards.
- Allocate resources efficiently across projects, balancing workloads and meeting client and organizational priorities.
- Establish and refine frameworks, templates, and processes that enhance team efficiency and ensure consistency.
Strategic Vision and Growth
- Develop long-term strategies for the consulting practice, ensuring scalability and alignment with company goals.
- Drive the growth of consulting revenue by assisting in closing new business and nurturing client relationships.
- Collaborate with the executive team to align the consulting practice with the company’s overall strategy and objectives.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices, incorporating relevant insights into client engagements and team processes.
Client Relationship Management
- Act as a strategic advisor to clients, including senior executives with varying levels of marketing expertise.
- Navigate complex client dynamics and manage high-stakes conversations with confidence and diplomacy.
- Ensure client satisfaction by consistently delivering high-value outcomes and fostering trust.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role managing consulting teams or complex client engagements.
- Extensive experience in B2B marketing strategy, sales and marketing alignment, or related fields.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Marketing agency/agency experience is mandatory.
- Strong operational and organizational skills, with experience establishing scalable processes and frameworks.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage high-stakes client conversations.
- Adept at balancing strategic thinking with hands-on problem-solving.
- Strong emotional intelligence and ability to foster collaboration across teams.
- Comfortable engaging with C-level executives and navigating complex organizational dynamics.
- A client-focused mindset, with a commitment to delivering measurable business outcomes.
- A proactive approach to identifying growth opportunities for the consulting practice.
- Ability to startup and develop functions/divisions within a company.
- Sales consulting experience a plus.
