Job Summary
The Business Strategy & Analytics department is looking for a Digital Marketing Coordinator who will play a crucial role in supporting our marketing efforts by assisting in the planning, execution, and analysis of digital marketing campaigns relating to email, website, mobile app, and SMS. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering successful email marketing programs, strong creative skills, and a passion for project management. Proficiency in website design is preferred but not required.
This person will be responsible for defining and executing the organization’s email communications including the timelines, production, and delivery for all email streams (ticketing, sponsorship, newsletters, etc.). The person in this role will partner closely with Marketing, Creative, Communications, and Strategy/Analytics to design and develop creative and engaging digital content, manage subscriber lists, and monitor campaign performance. The Digital Marketing Coordinator will play a critical role in assessing new marketing technologies that will help drive value within the organization.
Essential Functions, Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation and execution of email marketing campaigns, website landing pages, mobile app promotions, and other digital marketing efforts
- Collaborate with different departments to develop compelling digital content
- Outline and maintain a digital content calendar
- Write and edit digital marketing copy
- Manage subscriber lists and ensure data accuracy
- Conduct A/B testing to optimize performance and engagement
- Track and report key digital marketing metrics
- Support the implementation of marketing automation workflows
- Develop new database growth strategies
- Manage and execute day-to-day content and marketing strategies for dcunited.com and AudiField.com, as well as the D.C. United & Audi Field App, inclusive of push notifications, marketing placements, etc.
- Collaborate across all departments (Ticket Sales, Partnerships, Marketing, etc.) to understand and execute organizational objectives
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative thinking and ability to develop engaging content
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proactive time management, organization and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work all events, flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holiday
- Competitive nature and a contagious, positive attitude
COMPETENCIES (KSAs)
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce, MailChimp, HubSpot).
- Familiarity with Marketing Automation software (e.g., Marketo, Salesforce).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Adobe creative products (Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Experience managing websites (preferred but not required)
- Basic understanding of HTML and CSS (preferred, but not required).
Compensation
- Based upon qualifications and experience with an anticipated range of $45,000 - $55,000 Annually
