Luxury French cosmetics brand, Sisley Paris, is looking for an energetic Public Relations Manager for our in-house PR Team. The PR Manager is a vital part of our department in driving the brand’s overall awareness through public relations initiatives to generate visibility for our new product launches, boutiques, New York Maison, and unique family story. The role requires a dynamic and experienced individual to support the Vice President of Public Relations and Directors of Public Relations as well as manage one coordinator and intern. Ideal candidates will have three to five years of experience in public relations, preferably in the beauty industry.
Responsibilities:
General:

Strategy:
- Show an in-depth understanding of the media landscape, ensuring that you stay abreast of key press and publication information for the US and Canadian markets.
- Develop and nurture strong media and industry contacts to leverage content and partnership opportunities as well as securing regular pieces of qualitative coverage.
- Show an in-depth understanding of the influencer network as well as celebrity hair stylist, makeup artist, dermatologist and KOL network.
- Event management including press trips, product launches, staycations, breakfasts, virtual events, editor desk-sides, new boutique openings, etc.
- Proactively pitch and secure media coverage for both the US and Canadian markets.
- Develop concepts and ideas for generating media coverage.
- Manage product mailings from start to finish including brainstorming the creative concept, providing target lists, etc.
- Deliver internal and external documents with a keen attention to detail; Communicate with the French PR team at headquarters and help move important projects along.
- Ensure team is monitoring media daily, including newspapers, magazines, broadcast and online channels for opportunities and to keep abreast of competitor news.
- Review monthly press and influencer reports prepared by the PR Coordinator and assist with analysis of results.
- Oversee updates to all contact lists and ensure product requests are sent in a timely manner.
Mailings & Product Management:
- Oversee inventory of products to ensure that the products are ordered, arrive on time and are put away properly.
- Organize and execute all editor and influencer mailings alongside the team:
- Brainstorm creative concepts, manage vendors, order products, draft mailing cards and work on creative with the in-house team, and create mailing lists.
- Own the sample request process, partnering with the cross-functional teams to coordinate the fulfillment of all incoming sample inquiries from media outlets, makeup artists, hair stylists, and influencers while updating and monitoring the shipment tracker and sending tracking to recipients.
Influencer Outreach:
- Assist in researching targets for organic seeding and outreach through Tribe Dynamics platform
- Work with headquarters to identify targets for larger content partnerships and spearhead from start to finish in partnership with Influencer Marketing Manager (i.e. create content briefs, send products, manage timelines, etc.)
- Monitor and track influencer coverage through Tribe Dynamics and identify retained opportunities.
Events:
- Assist in planning and execution of PR events in key markets (i.e. product launches, desk-side meetings, boutique openings, press trips, etc.) by securing venues, selecting menus, creating invite lists, providing gifting recommendations, handling florals and decor, booking travel for media, etc.
Reporting & Media Lists:
- Assist Coordinator in executing daily search for press credits online and in print and review weekly press credit e-mails to headquarters and the field.
- Assist in updating monthly press reports with all press credit mentions using DMR service.
- Create reports following large events, product mailers, etc. to recap initiatives and highlight key results, feedback and learnings.
- Assist in updating all media lists and contact lists with new contact information.
- Support with identifying new contacts that are a fit for the brand.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3-5 years of communications experience, preferably in the beauty industry, with an understanding of luxury media, influencer space, and the editorial landscape
- Prior experience in a managerial role with direct report(s) in beauty PR
- Robust experience in press management with excellent relationships
- Influencer marketing expertise is a plus
- Established industry and editorial relationships

- Must be comfortable working a hybrid schedule (remote + in our New York office 3 days / as needed); travel may also be required for key events and openings
