Position Overview:
The Marketing Assistant supports the department’s efforts statewide across all areas of marketing, training and business development, including event planning, pitches and proposals, branding, business/relationship intelligence and internal communications. Specific responsibilities include supporting colleagues with event assistance, new business pitch preparation, marketing and training collateral development and maintenance, database data entry/management, and attorney training support. The Assistant is also responsible for administrative tasks associated with the business development function, including processing sponsorships, check requests and other related administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, clients, staff and guests of the Firm.
- Ability to take initiative, adapt to change and work independently in high-pressure, deadline-driven scenarios while exercising sound judgment and making intelligent, informed decisions.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and execute a diverse range of tasks with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to handle ambiguity, weigh options and find ways to move initiatives forward to meet critical deadlines and produce results.
- Meticulous data entry, writing and proofing skills and a general facility for learning new software.
- Solid command of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint).
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning, execution and tracking of events.
- Input, maintain and curate marketing contact lists.
- Assist in the creation and production of marketing and training materials.
- Maintain and update content in our firmwide experience platforms.
- Conduct general research.
- Interface with vendors, clients (current and prospective) and business partners.
- Provide administrative assistance.
Preferred Skills/Abilities
- One to two years’ experience in a similar role in a law firm/professional services environment.
- Experience with CRM/database software (e.g. NEXL, Salesforce etc.)
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud – InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Experience with video-editing.
- Interest and aptitude in harnessing emerging technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field - marketing, communications, English or other discipline that requires analytical and advanced writing and research skills. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when the experience has been directly related to the functions of the job.
