My client is a nationally recognized fitness brand with a rapidly growing presence in the industry. Known for its inclusive and empowering culture, the company is committed to providing affordable fitness solutions and promoting a healthy, active lifestyle. They are looking for a talented Director of Social Media Marketing to lead their social media strategy and execution, driving brand awareness and engagement across platforms.
The Role: Director of Social Media Marketing:
Reporting to the VP of Brand Marketing, the Director of Social Media Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing both paid and organic social media strategies that enhance brand awareness and foster community engagement. This is a key leadership role where you will manage the social media team, collaborate with external agencies and internal partners, and play a central role in shaping the company’s social media presence.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- leading the strategy and execution of social media campaigns across all platforms to drive brand relevance and engagement.
- rebuilding and leading the social media team, managing Social Media Managers and Content Creators.
- creating content strategies that resonate with the brand’s community and align with broader business goals.
- collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop content that is culturally relevant and strengthens the brand.
- analyzing performance data to optimize campaigns and presenting insights to leadership, and representing the brand at high-profile social media events, including major annual celebrations.
Your Skills & Experience:
- 9+ years of experience developing and executing successful social media strategies that boost brand awareness.
- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing and building social media teams.
- Strong communication skills and an ability to analyze data to develop actionable recommendations.
- Experience in industries such as advertising, social media, or innovative brands in the wellness or fitness space (e.g., Planet Fitness, Oatly, Wendy’s, Duolingo).
- Experience with Sprinklr is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, with the flexibility to travel to New Hampshire monthly and to attend social media events as needed.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $160,000-$180,000 base salary.
- 20% annual bonus.
- 20% long-term incentive (vested after three years).
