AI4ALL is a national nonprofit that is transforming the pipeline of AI practitioners and creating a more inclusive, human-centered discipline. We empower students to be AI Changemakers by cultivating an environment where they develop skills in critical thinking and relationship-building, and expertise in responsible AI.
To accomplish this, we seek students from communities that have been excluded in the AI space. Then we help them build identity in the field, and tap into their own agency and initiative as they build technical and leadership skills. While all are welcome to apply, AI4ALL prioritizes students whose race, gender, or ethnicity has been historically excluded from AI: Black, Hispanic and Latinx, and Indigenous folks; and women and non-binary folks. Our programs run in partnership with colleges and universities around North America.
We are launching the diverse next generation of AI changemakers through education, ethics, and relationship-driven networks. THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a Marketing Associate to join our Partnerships and Recruitment team. The individual that is offered the role will work with a dynamic and experienced team that places humanity at the core of everything that we do. The Marketing Associate will contribute to the day-to-day execution of campaigns, manage social media platforms, and create engaging content that strengthens AI4ALL’s programs and their visibility. They will play a critical role in maintaining marketing materials and collaborating with the team to meet the organization’s marketing objectives. The Marketing Associate will report to the Senior Manager, Partnerships & Recruitment who is responsible for the overall marketing strategy and vision and ensuring all marketing work contributes to the overall student program recruitment strategy.
What You’ll Do
Specifically the Marketing Associate will:
Email Marketing
- Create and manage engaging student newsletters, track performance metrics, and optimize content based on data. Support marketing campaigns to grow subscribers, conduct A/B testing, and maintain accurate subscriber lists across platforms like Hubspot and Apollo
Marketing Community Engagement
- Engage students and alumni through email campaigns, social media toolkits, and digital resources. Highlight success stories, foster connections, and amplify enthusiasm from program participants and event attendees
Marketing
- Create, edit, and catalog high-quality content aligned with AI4ALL’s objectives and SEO best practices. Collaborate with vendors and freelancers, write compelling student stories, and maintain key website sections for marketing and recruitment
- Support the annual marketing plan, ideate campaign content, and conduct market research to understand audience trends. Design outreach campaigns, create recruitment materials, and present at program info sessions using innovative formats like alumni roundtables
- Collaborate with teams to align marketing efforts with organizational goals
- Support refining of CRM workflows in Hubspot, and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure smooth marketing operations
Analytics & Reporting
- Track and analyze marketing data to create reports for stakeholders. Support recruitment strategy planning and debriefs, and assist in developing dashboards to visualize marketing and recruitment performance
Who You Are
The Marketing Associate position calls for an individual who thrives in a startup-like environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, able to take ownership of projects, and comfortable working with a strong initiative and creativity in identifying opportunities and driving solutions to completion.
Specifically, this hire will bring:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years experience in Marketing or related field, and ideally have completed an internship
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience executing projects from planning to completion
- Attention to detail and experience proofreading and editing
- Proficiency with tools like Hubspot, Mailchimp, Canva, and social media platforms
We’d prefer candidates who:
- Are passionate about increasing diversity and inclusion in artificial intelligence
- Thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment; adaptability is key
- Have experience working with populations who have been historically excluded from the AI sector
- Have experience with remote work environments
- Basic knowledge of design tools like Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with SEO, Google Analytics, and social media management
- Experience with Google Ads
- Working knowledge of project management software (i.e. Asana etc.)
- Familiarity with CRM tools and automation workflows

- A target starting salary of $60,000-$65,000 per year. To determine starting pay, we consider multiple job-related factors including a candidate’s skills, education and experience, market demand, business needs, and internal parity

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND LOCATION
AI4ALL has transitioned to a remote-first organization, enabling staff from across the country to work together in a virtual environment. However, we highly value in-person collaboration and hold occasional in-person meetings and retreats to foster deeper connections and teamwork.
- We’d love for this position to preferably be based out of the New York City metro area, although we are willing to consider applicants with strong qualifications in another location
- This role will require travel to New York City once per quarter
- AI4ALL organizes up to two in-person team retreats per year and all full-time employees are expected to attend. This may require travel to New York City, San Francisco, and other locations outside of your usual work location
- Work is performed both independently and collaboratively. Work is performed on a computer, requires almost constant use of a keyboard, mouse, or other pointing device and may be performed sitting or standing
