Reporting to the AVP of Creative Design, the Design Manager is responsible for and contributes to all phases of the development and production of visual communication materials that educate and inform internal and external audiences about HCA Healthcare's mission, products, programs and services. This manager will service one of three groups and will execute on design requests from business as usual collateral to large service line campaigns for group, division and facility marketing colleagues. The team supports a multitude of brands and access points within the HCA Healthcare family, including urgent care and Sarah Cannon. This position requires a candidate who can analyze business requirements, perform design tasks, construct, test and implement solutions with little to no supervision in a fast-paced, on-demand environment. The candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter and must be committed to delivering top quality solutions within agreed upon timelines. What you will do in this role:
- Supervise creative services design team providing creative leadership on issues relevant to design, branding and marketing. Provides art direction, review, feedback, mentorship and training to the design team. Supervise the design team projects, facilitates workflow and performs managerial administrative/operational tasks. Suggests new ways of improving the quality of designs and other project issues. Assists the team members to choose the right style, attractive graphics, images and other visual elements to adapt them according to the objectives of the project.
- Ensures quality control for all of the team’s design deliverables and confirms they are completed within time and budget constraints. Ensures that the delivered products or services adhere to the policies and standards of the organization in an effort to support coherence and unity.
- Serves as a senior member of the creative services team, collaborating with others on strategy and content development. Provides creative consulting to other departments. Leverages creative and marketing knowledge to develop new creative campaigns for specific targets. Leads and drives design sessions with stakeholders and other designers when engaging in new projects. Must possess ability to create a comprehensive design pitch and present to key stakeholders, including executive leadership.
- Conceptualizes, strategizes, designs and produces materials that achieve departmental and organizational goals. Oversees creation of graphic images such as illustrations, logos and infographics. Establishes design standards for core communication vehicles and design processes. Manages documentation for graphic design guidelines and standards across the organization.
- Functions as a creative design brand manager, developing and maintaining the organization’s visual brand standards and guidelines. Provides art direction to design and marketing projects with regard to brand. Maintains HCA Healthcare brand standards and provides general oversight of brand assets.
- Maintains relationships and communication with clients; tracks jobs, requirements, progress, timelines and cost opportunities. Prepares print and design specifications, project work agreements and proposals for clients. Serves as point of contact with internal and external print vendors, freelance designers and

What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelor's degree
- 1+ year(s) of experience in a management role
- 7+ years of experience in graphic design
- Link to a digital portfolio required
- Designs tools: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
