Role summary:
The Trade Marketing Supervisor plans and coordinates in-store activations across branded retail channels in the Direct-to-consumer (D2C) sector. They aim to enhance the consumer experience, build brand loyalty, and drive in-store traffic and sales. They collaborate with internal teams to ensure trade activations align with brand goals and contribute to the success of Swedish Match's D2C in-store marketing initiatives.
Your main Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate in-store trade activities from initial planning through to flawless execution, working closely with store leads and internal teams. Develop guidelines for employees to ensure consistency in execution and adherence to brand standards. Ensure that all in-store activations align with the overall brand and marketing strategies, driving alignment across D2C online and offline channels.
- Handle retail activation agencies and suppliers, including coordinating briefs, procurement, and implementation of Point of Sale (POS) materials. Develop clear project plans that outline goals, timelines, prioritization, and budget requirements for all in-store activations.
- Consistently evaluate and suggest improvements for activations to enhance the overall visitor experience, strengthen brand dedication, and increase store traffic. Monitor performance and record the outcomes of each in-store campaign, assessing success against important metrics.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all Team Leads concerning in-store trade activations. Ensure active communication and collaboration with internal colleagues to leverage marketing commonalities and ensure alignment with the broader brand objectives.
- Coordinate the creation, updating, and implementation of in-store POS materials and pricing communications to ensure consistency with brand guidelines and marketing strategies.
- Perform regular store visits to ensure that activations are implemented with excellence and adherence to company policies.
Requirements:
- College/ University degree in retail/ marketing/economics or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of professional experience from working in FMCG and/or experience from working within retail.
- Strong planning skills and ability to balance multiple end to end projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of customer service principles and practices with an ability to translate insights into actionable initiatives.
- Administrative capacity and highly structured.
- Strong networking and stakeholder management skills.
- Good communication skills, proficiency in Swedish and English is required.
- Detailed creative skills with a growth mind-set and hands-on approach to assigned responsibilities.
