Marketing Events Coordinator

Contract Role: 6 Months Plus
Schedule: 2 days a Month in office and Onsite for all Events
Description:
A full-service law firm seeks a Marketing Events Specialist to support marketing and business development events across multiple practices. This role involves collaboration with the Senior National Events Manager, Client Service Managers, and the Marketing department to coordinate resources, ensure a consistent approach, and execute high-quality initiatives. The role requires professionalism and strict confidentiality in all client and firm matters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Practice Events and Sponsorships:
- Oversee and manage practice events, including virtual events and sponsorships.
- Advise on event design and approach to achieve objectives.
- Track event details and ROI, manage budgets, and select venues.
- Research and coordinate with vendors, catering, and A/V services.
- Manage invitation lists, creative deliverables, event promotion, and on-site/virtual logistics.
- Support sponsorship relationships and benefits.
- Identify and source branded giveaways.
Internal and Local Events:
- Assist with internal and local events, including virtual ones, with similar duties as outlined above.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Provide occasional direction to business professionals and interns in the firm’s school-to-work internship program.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred with 2-4 years of marketing/event experience, ideally in a professional services firm.
- Knowledge of legal practices and the business of law firms.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and database management; knowledge of InterAction or website maintenance is a plus.
- High degree of initiative, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team and work independently as needed.
- Availability to travel to event locations as required.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to lift and distribute materials up to 20 pounds.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 annually, based on experience and job-related factors.
