Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative
Part-Time Digital Marketing Coordinator to support our Website Marketing Manager in enhancing the user experience on our website and app. This role will focus on updating content and visuals, particularly before and after matches, developing engaging copy for blogs, and optimizing all content for SEO to ensure our digital platforms are informative and drive traffic. The Part-Time Digital Marketing Coordinator will report directly to the Website Marketing Manager and work approximately 20-25 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in updating the website and app with timely content, including press releases, match previews, and recaps.
- Help refresh carousel and tile assets, and upload highlight reels, ensuring all content is current and visually appealing.
- Develop engaging copy for blogs and other content areas, optimizing for SEO to improve search visibility and engagement.
- Support the execution of design updates that align with brand guidelines, focusing on enhancing the aesthetic and usability of the website and app.
- Collaborate closely with the Site Marketing Manager to ensure consistent mobile responsive design and messaging across all digital platforms, especially during high-traffic periods around match days.
- Troubleshoot and resolve content-related issues on the website and app to maintain optimal functionality.
- Assist in gathering and analyzing user engagement data to inform content and design decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Internship or 1 year of experience in Digital Marketing preferred.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as required by the match schedule.
- Basic understanding of digital marketing principles, SEO best practices, and content management systems (CMS), particularly WordPress.
- Familiarity with web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics.
- Strong writing and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with photo editing software (e.g., Photoshop) and proficiency in design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for implementing design changes and troubleshooting issues.
- Highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of the NWSL and/or soccer is preferred
Compensation
The anticipated hourly rate for this role is
$25 -$30/hr. Actual starting pay may vary based on a range of factors which can include experience, skills, and scope. This part-time role will require about 20-25 hours per week.
