Boutique art services company seeks CEO. We are the leading art installation and design service in New York City. We work with residential and corporate customers primarily in New York City, the Hamptons, and Connecticut. We have a very strong referral network and positive reputation among our clients. There is tremendous potential for growth in the right hands and with new ideas.
Responsibilities:
-Oversee the operations of a successful 35 year-old art services company
-Develop and implement a strategy to grow the business through a variety of means (e.g., social media, referral network, google advertising)
-Manage a staff of 14. Make hiring and firing decisions, manage requests for raises, facilitate staff dynamics, manage payroll
-Solve tricky client issues, resolve complaints and questions, and leverage project successes
-Cover scheduler duties during vacation periods, approximately 3 weeks of the year (e.g., schedule projects, respond to all client requests)

-Thrive independently, and can set your agenda and execute it.
-Enjoy having your hand in all the pots - managing people, creating and executing business development ideas (big and small), and even occasionally answer the phones.
-Creative thinker who enjoys generating and executing ideas to reach new customers.
-Background in business/marketing and/or art and interior design.
-Experience with managing a small business (or assistant to the manager and ready to take on a bigger role).
-Outgoing, and able to talk to anyone (high net worth clients, and potential partners like framers and gallerists).
-A strong team leader, focused on building relationships with staff through active listening, trust and a genuine concern for employee well-being.
