Job Description
The Creative Design and Innovation Manager is responsible for overseeing the marketing creative and innovation processes across the organization. This includes managing design projects, identifying new business opportunities from a creative lens, and fostering a culture of innovation. This role requires strong leadership skills, creativity, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and brand standards.
Responsibilities
- Guide the design team in creating visually compelling and innovative solutions that align with brand guidelines.
- Review and approve creative work, ensuring high-quality, cohesive design across all platforms.
- Maintain awareness of competitor activity, industry best practices, and emerging trends in design and innovation.
- Develop and implement innovation strategies that align with the organization’s goals and objectives
- Identify new market trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies to inspire innovative ideas and product concepts.
- Lead ideation and brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas and solutions.
- Oversee design and innovation projects from conception through execution, ensuring timelines, budgets, and objectives are met.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including buying, operations, ecommerce, customer service, and technology, to ensure project success.
- Monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and manage resources to optimize productivity and project outcomes.
- Mentor and develop a team of designers, creatives, and innovation specialists, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Encourage team members to experiment, take creative risks, and think outside the box.
- Conduct performance reviews and support professional growth through training and development programs.
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, vendors, and agencies as needed.
- Encourage a culture of learning by providing opportunities for team members to develop new skills and explore industry advancements.
Skills And Knowledge
Ability to lead other others, Effective communication and interpersonal skills., Innovative Thinking, Proficiency in Adobe Creative (InDesign) and Microsoft Office (Excel) suites
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in design, marketing, business, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in design, innovation, or product development, with a proven track record of leading successful projects.
