Vice President, Marketing & Corporate Communications
A dynamic public relations and marketing agency based in New York City is seeking a Vice President of Marketing & Corporate Communications. This role will lead and oversee the agency's communications and marketing efforts in support of its PR and Digital practices. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and relationship builder who can effectively articulate the agency's value proposition in both internal and external messaging.
Responsibilities:
- Lead initiatives to proactively identify compelling stories that align with the agency's core priorities, including showcasing client work, agency growth, account updates, and thought leadership.
- Develop innovative marketing and communication strategies to enhance the agency’s visibility and reputation.
- Identify, pitch, and secure media coverage in marketing trade and business outlets.
- Create, edit, and proofread a variety of materials, including press releases, thought leadership articles, messaging frameworks, presentations, and executive briefing documents.
- Manage the planning and participation in industry conferences and events, including executive involvement, sponsorships, and advertising opportunities.
- Oversee the agency's awards submission process to ensure recognition for the agency and its talent.
- Promote creativity and innovation in communications through multimedia channels and campaigns.
- Collaborate with the digital team to oversee content creation and maintenance for the corporate website and social media platforms.
- Develop and manage marketing campaigns to support lead generation and new business acquisition.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, target audiences, and opportunities to inform the agency’s marketing strategies.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and communication efforts, and report on performance to leadership.
- Partner with leadership to refine the agency’s brand identity and ensure consistency across all marketing and communication channels.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and partners, including design agencies, freelancers, and consultants.
- Build and lead a marketing team, mentoring junior staff and fostering a collaborative environment.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations, with a strong track record of success in leadership roles.
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
- Confidence in presenting ideas and leading initiatives.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a results-oriented approach.
- Expertise in digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and analytics.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, adjust priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated capability to follow through on tasks while upholding quality standards.
- Willingness to embrace challenges beyond the defined role.

NYC Salary Range: $155K - $170K
