As a Director of Sales, your primary responsibility is to drive revenue and guest retention across all markets utilizing a team of Sales Account Managers residing in each market. Using your brand knowledge and being well versed in each market, you will coach the SAM to continually expand our clientele by developing the team's sales skills, coaching on their sales pitch and methods for making sales calls, guiding them to research opportunities and individuals in their markets and holding them accountable to the process.
In addition to overseeing the team of SAMs, you will be responsible for relationships with national accounts. This includes developing new and maintaining existing relationships with the contacts at organizations who have multiple locations across our markets and getting their teams on our properties for private events.

- Lead, motivate and mentor the SAMs to reach their highest potential by devising strategies to generate and develop new business in their market by understanding the industries and trends in their areas
- Proactively engage in outbound sales activity with the team of SAMs to establish business development standards that grow sales revenues for private events in each market
- Assist the SAM in making new contacts, opening new doors and developing strategic plans to achieve sales targets in their market
- Oversight of the team of SAMs for outbound planning, setting expectations, accountability and coaching
- Plan rallies and campaigns for the team to keep the pipeline full and ensure a path to meeting sales targets
- Maintain professional collateral and talk tracks for the team
- Assist SAMs with Sales Operations including assistance with pricing events clearing obstacles, correcting billing errors, contract redlines, point of escalation and on going sales training specific to the SAM role
- Own national account management to foster client relationships through ongoing communication with national contacts to drive ongoing revenue across all locations
- Identify and prospect new national clients through cold/warm calls, referrals, LinkedIn and other resources
- Strategically negotiate to close national event sales inclusive of creating multi-property proposals
- Manage all national leads with a sense of urgency, accuracy and professionalism
- Create, manage and confirm event bookings within CRM system including the documentation of all prospect and event client communication with great attention to detail
- Call upon contacts to see what went well and what could be improved
- Contribute to the overall sales team goals by meeting and exceeding personal quotas
- Utilize and create reports and dashboards to ensure personal and department Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are being met or exceeded
Requirements
- 3+ years previous outside sales experience in hospitality, restaurant or entertainment venue focus on event sales, preferred
- Strong consultative sales experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment
- Excellent self-accountability for high personal standards of conduct and professionalism
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, return guests, co-workers and management
- Flexible in approach; can readily adapt to business and team needs and changes
- Excellent interpersonal and people skills as well as verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new software programs
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays and in the restaurant on an as-needed basis
- Ability to travel and meet face-to-face with potential and existing guests
- Bachelor's Degree in Sales/Marketing or Business preferred
