Marketing Director
Overview
You’re a creative problem solver with a knack for developing and executing brand-first marketing strategies. You’re fluent in modern marketing channels and have proven experience driving ROI across campaigns. You eat, sleep, and breathe brand tone and voice and consider yourself a content whiz. You’re a relationship management pro and feel confident overseeing client expectations while working with a team of creatives to bring bold plans to life.
The Marketing Director will work with our President + Chief Creative Officer to develop new client relationships, our VP of Digital Positioning to create robust, actionable strategies, and our branding and marketing team to bring subsequent tactics to fruition. This new teammate will work directly with the brands we serve on an ongoing basis, managing performance, communicating results, and striving for client satisfaction through exceptional output.
Roles + Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute integrated marketing and communications strategies and plans for current and prospective clients
- Conduct and/or lead the procurement of research to guide the creation of strategies and plans which may include online sources, purchasing 3rd party reports, and proprietary research
- Synthesize and apply market research into actionable recommendations and plans
- Work alongside clients to establish critical KPIs, project timelines, and systems for maintaining functional end-to-end project structure
- Function as a liaison between clients and our internal team to ensure that projects and tasks are completed in a timely, efficient manner
- Effectively advocate client needs to internal and outsourced teammates
- Collaborate with team members to identify and prioritize growth and testing opportunities to improve ongoing client performance
- Continuously educate yourself on new and emerging best practices and marketing channels
- Oversee and provide hands-on contributions to our content marketing campaigns
- Deliver and lead presentations, proposals, and reports for clients that concisely communicate strategy intentions and results
- Work with the Prismatic team to improve internal lead gen opportunities and refine client-facing messaging with the goal of creating new business
- Produce compelling, dynamic written creative copy and communications to propel our branding and marketing efforts
- Manage budget and resource allocation, ensuring projects stay on track financially
- Manage and track time effectively and give accurate assessments of the workload and the time required to complete tasks
- Audit projects to ensure the timeliness and quality of deliverables, and participate in post mortems to learn from experiences and provide a stage for continual improvement
- Manage and be prepared to reprioritize tasks according to changes in project timelines when needed, to accomplish deadlines
- Mentor and develop junior teammates, fostering an ever-improving environment of growth, creativity, and collaboration
- Ensure work output continues to increase client satisfaction and retention with a focus on long-term relationship-building
- Coordinate with the Director of Relationships on client engagement initiatives including capturing feedback, developing response plans to feedback, communicating contact changes/project updates, and identifying opportunities for authentic connection and delight
- Nurture a healthy team dynamic that creates a safe space for ideas to flourish. This includes participating in team-building events, engaging in team meetings, and connecting with all members of our hybrid team.
Eligibility + Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience developing marketing strategies and handling all implementation on either a brand or client-facing level
- 3+ years managing and collaborating with teams, partners, and personalities, both internal and external
- 2+ years of agency experience
- A demonstrated history of successful hands-on contributions related to advancing marketing strategies, plans, and campaigns
- Excellent writer with an established background in tone/voice mechanics, brand positioning, and persuasive copywriting
- Proficiency across owned, earned, and paid marketing channels, including website, email/SMS, paid and organic social, and paid search
- Familiarity with marketing technology platforms (CRM, automation tools, CMS, analytics, etc.) and how they integrate into larger marketing strategies
- Proficiency in learning and navigating project management and communication tools such as ClickUp, Slack, and Keynote, with a willingness to adapt to new platforms
- Outstanding organizational and multitasking skills
- Experience managing project budgets and in performance reporting to key stakeholders
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to effectively analyze market trends and data to inform decision-making
- Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams, with a track record of mentoring others and helping them achieve their goals
- Proven success in building and maintaining strong, lasting client relationships
- Ability to work in a dynamic, hybrid environment between office and home environments as well as complete in-person client meetings, site visits, presentations, and occasional overnight travel
