OVERVIEW: The Event Marketing Manager will manage BAL’s strategic and tactical marketing initiatives for all in-person events, webinars, and tradeshows. You will join a growing Marketing & Business Development team who focuses on the following areas: brand management and advertising; digital marketing; content and news development; events and sponsorships; business development; sales enablement; media relations and corporate communications; and internal communications.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Learn and apply the fundamentals of the business, target audiences and department goals and translate the knowledge into executing 60+ events annually.
- Own ideation, planning and execution of marketing events, including, but not limited to: venue research and contracting; internal and external communications; event website and invitation creation, testing and distribution; pre-event tasks, like audio visual and technical requirements; on-site staffing and support; post-event tasks, such as reviewing survey data and supporting debriefs; data maintenance and integrity.
- Oversee event planner that assists with planning and executing all aspects of events.
- Develop marketing campaign strategies for events and webinars for all channels; collaborate within a high-performing team including subject matter experts, designers, and marketing team to execute and deploy assets.
- Ensure that appropriate processes are followed to enable pre-event planning and outreach, audience/opportunity, and marketing strategy, as well as post-event lead generation nurturing and lessons learned reporting.
- Work with third party event organizers and other partners to build and maintain excellent relationships, and track, monitor and negotiate marketing opportunities to optimize marketing investments.
- Lead recommendations on overall firm event strategy; including budget projections, master event calendar planning and management, and reporting.
- Continuing education vendor certification management.
- Sponsorship planning, management, and execution.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 6+ years of experience in B2B event marketing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent organizational skills with a strength in project management and extreme attention to detail. Experience with Wrike or other similar project management software strongly preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including editing and proofing.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
- Experience with Cvent required.
- Experience with Salesforce strongly preferred.
- Technologically savvy with eagerness to learn new programs and skills.
- Proactive, self-sufficient, resourceful and motivated.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate clearly amongst a variety of personalities.
- Willingness to be a team player and consistently interact with peers, partners, management, and clients.
- Requires some travel with early mornings and late nights.
