The Opportunity
As the VP of Marketing Enablement & Automation you will be a key leader and driver of marketing transformation. You will be responsible for completing the transition to our new operating model, creating scalable centers of excellence in channels, content creation, and marketing operations that will drive a scalable expansion of marketing campaigns and go-to-market strategies. Key to this role is to understand the varied marketing strategies of our LOBs and markets and building and running an execution machine that can enable those strategies to maximize impact. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic and financial management, omni-channel marketing, scalable marketing automation, and agile marketing operations, using data to drive both strategic and executional decisions.
How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future:
Channel Management:
- Oversee the development and execution of multi-channel marketing strategies to drive brand awareness and lead generation in a scalable and repeatable manner across all lines of business and geographies.
- Collaborate with channel leaders to maximize the reach and impact of marketing campaigns for positive outcomes for key business stakeholders.
- Build repository of playbooks/templates that can be used to accelerate decision making of Marketing Activation leaders and other business users.
Internal Agency Buildout & Operations:
- Bring together multiple internal creative teams, design a target org state and operating model, build out and staff the team, rationalize the many agencies currently in use creating a preferred set of partners with reimagined engagement and partnership.
- Oversee creative agencies used by MetLife to ensure alignment and efficiencies, whilst ensuring internal resources are optimized, to deliver high-quality creative and production services, aligned with the company's brand and business objectives.
- Maintain and evaluate Service Level Agreements across all stakeholders, ensuring timely development of materials.
Content Authoring and Production:
- Oversee the creation and production of compelling content across multiple formats, including written, visual, and multimedia.
- Leverage AI and other advanced technologies to enhance content development and ensure consistency in brand voice for both internal and client communications.
- Implement and manage language operations to support global marketing efforts, ensuring accurate and culturally relevant translations and maintenance of both MetLife and client-specific brand voice integrity across diverse markets.
Marketing Automation and Operations:
- Design and implement marketing automation strategies to nurture leads and drive customer engagement for B2B, B2C, and B2B2C audiences.
- Optimize marketing automation platforms and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop and refine marketing operations processes and workflows to support agile marketing practices and enhance team productivity.
- Liaise with Marketing Technology to ensure data hygiene and integrity across the entire marketing technology stack, so that it can be used for data-driven decision-making and reporting frameworks to measure and further optimization of marketing performance and refinement of test and learn agendas.
- Promote and implement agile marketing methodologies to improve speed, flexibility, and responsiveness in marketing activities by fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across the corporate marketing team.
What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications):
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in marketing, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience in marketing automation and agile marketing operations.
- Strong knowledge of multi-channel marketing strategies and content supply chains.
- Expertise in leveraging AI and advanced technologies for marketing enablement.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The salary range for applicants for this position is $209,000 - $278,700.
