Position Summary

The Chief Marketing Officer will own and oversee the firm’s end-to-end marketing and intake performance strategy. This executive role requires a seasoned leader who blends strategic marketing expertise with operational discipline and data-driven decision-making. Must have experience managing high-volume marketing environments, preferably within personal injury or legal services, and understand how to efficiently convert leads into retained cases through optimized intake systems. This is a high-impact, in-office leadership role based in our Orange Count, CA office, where collaboration, accountability, and execution speed are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute full-funnel marketing strategy across digital, paid media, SEO, TV, social, referral, and emerging channels
  • Lead multi-channel lead generation and brand growth initiatives with a strict focus on ROI and scalability
  • Manage and evaluate external vendors, agencies, and advertising partners with clear performance expectations
  • Continuously test, analyze, and optimize campaigns to improve case volume, case quality, and cost efficiency

Intake & Conversion Optimization

  • Partner with Intake leadership to improve lead responsiveness, qualification, and conversion rates
  • Align marketing performance with intake KPIs: A/B testing of scripts, routing, and response times
  • Oversee implementation of lead scoring, attribution models, and optimized intake workflows to maximize efficiency and outcomes

Data, Analytics & Performance Management

  • Build and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks across marketing and intake functions
  • Use performance analytics to guide strategic decisions and allocate marketing spend effectively
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks across the lead-to-case pipeline using real-time data
  • Champion a culture of testing, measurement, accountability, and continuous improvement

Team Leadership & In-Office Culture

  • Lead and scale the marketing and intake support organization with clarity, structure, and accountability
  • Establish high-performance standards and clearly defined expectations across teams
  • Foster a collaborative, execution-focused culture rooted in ownership and results
  • Design and implement hiring, training, and coaching systems to continuously elevate talent

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years' progressive marketing experience with demonstrated success managing large-scale campaigns
  • 5+ years' senior leadership experience overseeing marketing and operational teams
  • Strong preference for experience in personal injury law or legal marketing environments
  • Deep expertise in digital marketing platforms: Google Ads, Meta, CRM and intake systems, and analytics tools
  • Demonstrated success improving intake performance and lead-to-case conversion in high-volume settings
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into action
  • Strong in-person leadership presence with the ability to drive urgency, accountability, and results
  • Hands-on, execution-oriented mindset with high attention to detail

Preferred Tools & Systems Experience

  • Filevine, Lead Docket, or comparable CRM/intake platforms
  • Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Tableau
  • Any call-tracking tools
  • RingCentral, Time Doctor, Google Workspace
  • Experience integrating marketing automation with intake and CRM workflows
