Chief Brand and Marketing Officer | Position Overview

Role Overview

HealthyBaby is seeking a visionary, execution-oriented Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead the next phase of brand and revenue growth. A proven CMO who has successfully scaled a consumer brand, ideally within babycare, maternal health, personal care, wellness, or adjacent health-driven categories.

The CMO will be responsible for building and leading a modern, fully-integrated marketing engine that strengthens HealthyBaby’s brand authority, expands consumer awareness, deepens community engagement, and drives measurable revenue growth across DTC, retail, and marketplace channels. This leader must be:

  • A purpose-driven storyteller who deeply understands the “label reader” consumer — the parent who values safety, transparency, and scientific integrity,
  • Equally fluent in brand building, strategic portfolio planning, community engagement, and performance marketing,
  • A portfolio strategist who understands how product/category innovation, pricing, packaging, and placement shape growth,
  • Energized by working alongside a visionary founder and capable of keeping pace with bold ideas and ambitious goals,
  • Comfortable leveraging AI and modern marketing technologies to drive smarter decision-making, greater efficiency and creative outcomes.

This is a pivotal role in shaping how HealthyBaby shows up in the world and how quickly we scale.

Brand Strategy & Positioning

  • Define and own HealthyBaby’s brand strategy and positioning, ensuring clarity, consistency, and emotional resonance.
  • Craft a compelling and differentiated brand narrative rooted in health, science, transparency, and advocacy.
  • Ensure all marketing efforts reinforce HealthyBaby’s authority with the “label reader” and modern health-conscious parent.
  • Lead brand architecture and portfolio storytelling as the product line expands.

Integrated Marketing

  • Lead creation and execution of 360° marketing campaigns (digital, social, influencer, PR, retail, partnerships, experiential).
  • Create and maintain the marketing cross channel marketing calendar.
  • Partner with Creative Director to ensure all content and creative assets reinforce HealthyBaby’s mission and resonate with parents.
  • Oversee lifecycle marketing, and subscription growth strategies.
  • Lead and manage HealthyBaby’s PR agency and media agency partners. Set strategic direction and ensure agencies operate as true extensions of the brand.
  • Establish clear KPIs and accountability across the marketing organization.

Product Portfolio Planning & Innovation Partnership

  • Lead the development and refinement of HealthyBaby’s portfolio architecture across categories (diapers, wipes, skincare, formula/food, future innovation).
  • Define clear roles for each product and SKU (hero, growth driver, margin contributor, innovation bet).
  • Partner closely with Product Development and Operations to evaluate:
  • SKU rationalization
  • Assortment strategy
  • Positioning optimization
  • Establish criteria for innovation prioritization based on consumer need, market opportunity, and strategic alignment.
  • Adopt a “test and learn” mentality when bringing new innovations to market.
  • Ensure each new product launch supports both brand equity and growth.
  • Evaluate white space opportunities within babycare that align with HealthyBaby’s mission to protect and enrich.
  • Work closely with Product Development and Innovation to shape launch strategies and ensure market resonance.
  • Provide consumer insight to inform product roadmap decisions.
  • Ensure product claims, messaging, and education are scientifically sound and compelling.

Retail & Channel Marketing Strategy and Execution

  • Partner closely with Sales and Product Marketing to ensure strong retail storytelling and shelf strategy.
  • Ensure digital shelf excellence across Amazon and retail.com platforms.
  • Align marketing investments with channel priorities and distribution strategy.

AI-Enabled Marketing & Modernization

  • Integrate AI-powered tools into marketing strategy, including:
  • Champion data-driven experimentation and agile marketing practices.
  • Support the build a modern marketing tech stack appropriate for a scaling brand.

Consumer Insights & Growth

  • Create a data-first environment where decisions can be influenced by data and customer trends.
  • Use consumer research and data analytics to refine marketing strategies and identify growth opportunities.
  • Leverage AI-driven tools to analyze consumer sentiment, test messaging, and identify opportunities faster.
  • Monitor category trends, competitor activity, and evolving parent needs to ensure HealthyBaby stays ahead.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Build, hire and lead a high-performing marketing team with expertise in brand, digital, social, content, and partnerships.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and mission-driven culture.

Founder & Executive Partnership

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Founder and President.
  • Translate visionary ideas into executable marketing plans.
  • Bring clarity and prioritization to a fast-moving environment.
  • Represent HealthyBaby externally with credibility and conviction.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product Development to align innovation pipeline with brand strategy and consumer need.
  • Work closely with Sales/Business Development on go-to-market strategies for expansion.
  • Align with Finance on budgeting, forecasts, and ROI measurement for marketing spend.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 12+ years of marketing experience, with prior experience scaling a consumer brand.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling consumer brands (ideally in babycare, maternal health, personal care, health & wellness, or health-driven CPG categories).
  • Deep experience in integrated marketing, product portfolio development, brand storytelling, and retail/omnichannel strategies.
  • Mission-driven and aligned with HealthyBaby’s commitment to safety, transparency, and science-led.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
  • Analytical and creative, with the ability to balance brand vision with commercial results.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating AI and modern marketing technology into growth strategies to enhance marketing strategy, insights, and efficiency.
