Georgia Winery is seeking a high-energy Events & Marketing Manager to help build, organize, and grow our winery events, customer experiences, and marketing initiatives.

This role blends event planning, hospitality, and marketing execution. The ideal candidate enjoys creating memorable experiences for guests while also managing the systems and organization required to run successful events. This role includes working in the tasting room as a shift lead and assistant manager to the tasting room manager.

This position will start with training across multiple areas of the winery (including the tasting room).

Position Overview

The Events & Marketing Manager will be responsible for helping plan, organize, and execute winery events while supporting marketing initiatives and guest experiences.

This role works closely with the winery leadership team and tasting room manager to develop engaging events and marketing that drive customer visits, strengthen our brand, and increase sales.

This is a hands-on role that includes both planning events and working sales floor as sales associate or shift lead to ensure a high-quality guest experience.

This role requires strong organizational and computer skills. The Events & Marketing Manager will use digital tools to manage event planning, track projects, create marketing materials, communicate with staff and vendors, and help implement new systems for marketing and event operations.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience- Shift Lead/ Sales Associate/ Assistant Manager

  • Acts as assistant manager to Tasting Room Manager and covers sales floor as needed- including Rock City booth, pizza, running a bar, etc.
  • Maintain close connection with guests and tasting room atmosphere
  • Observe customer behavior and provide insights on what guests respond to
  • Help ensure the winery experience reflects the brand’s energy and hospitality

Event Planning & Execution

  • Plan, organize, and execute winery events including:
  • Weekly themed events
  • Monthly special events
  • Seasonal promotions
  • Private events and group bookings
  • Coordinate event logistics including schedules, staffing needs, setup, and materials
  • Develop event checklists, timelines, and systems to ensure consistent execution
  • Host or assist with events as needed to maintain quality and guest experience
  • Continuously improve event concepts based on guest feedback and performance
  • Supports tasting room manager to staff or update schedule according to event ticket sales volume

Marketing & Promotions

  • Assist with development and rollout of marketing initiatives
  • Support the launch of new events, promotions, and tasting room experiences
  • Design marketing materials that fits Georgia Winery’s Sweet Southern Wine brand including:
  • Event signage
  • Flyers
  • Social media graphics
  • Email blast and SMS messages
  • Tasting room signage, menu, and displays
  • Wholesale designs
  • Makes updates to marketing systems, software platforms, and website
  • Use Canva, chatpgt, and similar tools to create professional event and promotional materials
  • Develop social media and marketing initiatives to drive traffic to visit Georgia Winery or encourage more online sales- including video marketing.

Administrative & Systems Management

· Maintain organized project lists and event planning systems

· Use computer systems to coordinate event scheduling, marketing, and communications

· Manage digital files, event templates, and operational documents

· Assist with implementation of software and internal tools

· Communicate professionally with staff, vendors, and management via email and internal systems

· Ensure event processes are documented so successful events can be repeated consistently

· Office and admin support for sales and marketing- such as running loyalty program

Required Skills (Non-Negotiable)

· Strong organizational and project management abilities

· Comfortable using computers throughout the day to manage projects and events

· Experience using Canva or similar tools for creating marketing materials

· Proficient in Microsoft Word, professional email communication, and basic spreadsheets

· Ability to manage multiple event timelines and marketing projects simultaneously

· Strong attention to detail and follow-through

· Ability to create organized systems and checklists for repeatable events

· Strong problem-solving and independent decision-making skills

· Makes data driven decisions to track and improve profitability

Preferred Experience

  • Event planning or hospitality experience and performance
  • Winery, restaurant, or tourism industry experience
  • Social media or marketing experience
  • Graphic design basics (Canva preferred)

· Weekly, monthly, and seasonal events are planned in advance with clear timelines, checklists, and marketing support

· Event systems are organized and repeatable so successful events can be executed consistently without starting from scratch each time

· Marketing materials, event promotions, and signage are created professionally and match the winery’s branding

· Projects and marketing initiatives are tracked through organized systems so leadership always has visibility into progress

· Guest experience during events reflects the winery’s hospitality, energy, and brand personality

· Event concepts evolve based on guest feedback, performance, and sales results

· Ownership can focus on strategic decisions knowing that event planning, coordination, and marketing execution are being handled reliably

· The Events & Marketing Coordinator proactively identifies new opportunities to grow events, improve the guest experience, and increase revenue

This role is best suited for someone who enjoys both creativity and operations — building great events and ensuring they run smoothly every time.

Schedule

This position will include a mix of

  • Weekday planning and coordination
  • Evening or weekend shifts
  • Saturdays are required

Pay & Benefits

  • Salary range: $20- $28 hourly, depending on experience
  • Employee wine discounts
