• Position Overview:

The Senior Social Media Specialist is a full-time position within our Marketing Department. This role is responsible for developing and executing high-performing social media strategies across all major platforms. This includes content creation, campaign execution, audience growth, engagement, design, and performance tracking.

The ideal candidate is highly creative, detail-oriented, and results-driven, with strong experience managing multiple brands and campaigns simultaneously. A strong understanding of the military and Veteran demographic is a plus.

This position reports to the Marketing Manager and will adhere to brand strategy and guidelines across all platforms while helping manage assigned digital media responsibilities.

• ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop, manage, and execute social media strategies across all brand platforms.
• Create, schedule, and publish high-converting content including reels, posts, stories, and short-form video.
• Drive audience growth, engagement, and brand awareness through consistent content and community management.
• Manage and optimize campaign performance using platform analytics and reporting tools.
• Oversee freelancers or content contributors as needed.
• Maintain consistent brand voice, tone, and visual standards across platforms.
• Stay current on platform trends, algorithm changes, and emerging formats.
• Other duties as assigned.
• KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience managing social media for a brand or agency.
• Deep understanding of social platforms and trends, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube, and others.
• Strong visual eye for graphics, photography, video, and short-form content.
• Proven ability to grow audiences and engagement organically.
• Strong copywriting skills optimized for social platforms.
• Experience with paid social media platforms including Meta and TikTok a plus.
• Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and short-form video editing tools.
• Experience using AI tools for content creation and optimization.
• Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.
• Self-directed, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to manage multiple brands and campaigns simultaneously.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong willingness to test, learn, and adapt.
• EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred but not required.
• Experience with lead generation and conversion-driven social campaigns.
• Military or Veteran familiarity strongly preferred.
• Understanding of military culture and messaging is a major bonus.
