Job Summary

Preferred Events is looking for a creative, hands-on Social Media Manager & Content Producer to help grow our presence across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, and LinkedIn. This role is ideal for someone who loves capturing real moments, creating short-form video, and bringing a brand to life through content that feels authentic, polished, and current.

You’ll be responsible for producing engaging social media content that highlights our events, behind-the-scenes work, team culture, and the details that make Preferred Events stand out.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a consistent social media strategy across all social media platforms
  • Capture and create short-form content including:
  • Event day behind-the-scenes
  • Setup breakdowns and transformations
  • Highlight reels (weddings, corporate, private events)
  • Team moments, venue visits, client wins, and lifestyle content
  • Edit and publish platform-optimized content (Reels, TikToks, stories, carousels)
  • Manage weekly posting schedules and ensure consistent output
  • Engage with followers through comments, DMs, and story interactions
  • Coordinate with external creators, photographers, and vendors when needed
  • Track performance insights and adjust content strategy based on results
  • Support promotions, seasonal campaigns, and event-related marketing initiatives

Qualifications

  • Experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing
  • Strong short-form video instincts and visual storytelling skills
  • Comfortable filming people, events, and real-world environments on-site
  • Able to edit content using mobile-first or desktop tools (CapCut, Adobe, InShot, etc.)
  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage tasks independently
  • Strong communication skills and an eye for brand voice/tone
  • Familiarity with analytics and performance metrics is a plus
  • Interest in events, weddings, hospitality, or lifestyle content is a major bonus

Day in the Life

  • Planning content themes, trends, and shot lists for upcoming events
  • Filming behind-the-scenes content during event setups and breakdowns
  • Capturing “detail” content (florals, signage, tablescapes, lighting, guest moments, etc.)
  • Editing and posting Reels/TikToks with trending audio and strong hooks
  • Checking messages and engaging with the community
  • Coordinating content needs with our internal team and vendor partners
  • Reviewing performance data and leaning into what’s working

This role is fast-paced, hands-on, and perfect for someone who loves being in the middle of the action and turning real event moments into high-performing content.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $1,500–$2,000 per month

Expected Hours: 10–15 per week
