Our client is seeking a Vice President of Brand Marketing to partner closely with their Owner/Founder and Creative Director in bringing the brand’s vision to life in today’s digital-first environment. This role is equal parts storyteller and strategist: someone who can build immersive brand worlds through setting, story, and character while also driving measurable growth across modern marketing channels.

The VP of Brand Marketing will be responsible for shaping the brand universe—one that offers escape, identity, aspiration, and belonging—while ensuring competition at the highest level across digital platforms, influencer networks, events, and collaborations. This leader will set the strategy, define expectations, and implement processes that elevate the brand to meet and exceed market standards. This is a 5 day in-office position based in midtown NYC. The salary range is $200-250,000 based on experience.

Responsibilities

World-Building & Narrative: Translate the Creative Director’s vision into immersive brand experiences by developing compelling settings, stories, and characters that resonate with customers.

Budget Planning & Management: Develop and manage annual and campaign-specific marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across channels. Monitor spend and ROI to optimize investments and maintain financial accountability.

Digital Marketing Strategy: Work with the E-commerce Director and internal teams to oversee all digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, and e-commerce strategies. Drive innovation by leveraging emerging technologies and platforms to enhance brand visibility and engagement.

Technology Integration & Innovation: Identify and implement new marketing technologies (automation tools, analytics platforms, AI-driven solutions) to improve performance and scalability. Stay ahead of industry trends and ensure the brand adopts cutting-edge solutions for growth.

Performance Analytics & Optimization: Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks to measure campaign effectiveness and inform strategic decisions. Use data-driven insights to continuously refine marketing strategies and improve conversion rates.

Digital Growth Strategy: Design and execute strategies across affiliates, paid media, substacks, influencer partnerships, events, pop-ups, and collaborations to drive demand and loyalty.

Strategic Execution: Establish clear agendas, processes, and frameworks that make growth strategies actionable and understandable across the organization.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with creative leadership while leveraging shared services and resources from a larger infrastructure to maximize impact.

Market Competitiveness: Benchmark against competitors and implement strategies that bring the brand up to par—or ahead—in digital presence, customer engagement, and demand generation.

Community & Engagement: Build brand communities that foster identity and belonging, ensuring customers feel part of the brand world.

Innovation & Longevity: Continuously tap into emerging methods of growth and demand creation, ensuring the brand remains relevant and future-proof.
