Purpose: The Chief Media Marketing Officer is responsible for owning the full creative and brand direction of Student Agencies, Inc. They are the architect of SAI’s identity—visually, narratively, and experientially—and bring a unified, student-driven vision to life across all businesses, platforms, and campaigns. From long-form video shoots to IG carousels, from brand voice to poster design, this role does it all.&
This person will audit and redesign SAI’s entire visual ecosystem. They will personally create high-quality photo, video, and design content, while building a scalable brand system that individual business managers can easily adopt and apply. They will work closely with the President and agency GMs to ensure the brand not only looks good—but drives real results.&
The CMMO meets weekly with the Student Agencies President and collaborates closely with business GMs to deliver cohesive, consistent, and high-impact creative strategy and assets. They attend weekly executive meetings to stay current on company initiatives and ensure brand alignment across all verticals.&
Hourly Requirement: This position requires the manager to work part-time (15–20 hours per week) during the academic year. A summer commitment is open to discussion.&
Job Description&
The following outlines the broad tasks and skills expected of the Chief Media Marketing Officer. Though the job is comprehensive, many of the skills required to successfully execute these responsibilities are strengthened during training. This is an high level role—ideal for someone who wants creative ownership and impact.&
Main Responsibilities
Brand Strategy Identity&
- Audit and assess SAI’s current brand image across all business verticals&
- Develop and implement a cohesive brand identity system (logos, type, color, templates, tone)&
- Maintain brand consistency across all platforms, assets, and messaging&
- Serve as brand guardian and creative consultant to individual businesses&
- Ensure that all content contributes to SAI’s overall narrative: student-run, student-led&
Content Creation&
- Personally shoot, edit, and produce both long-form and short-form video/photo content&
- Design social media content, presentations, recruitment materials, and marketing collateral&
- Manage production and post-production for high-quality multimedia output&
- Work independently using tools such as Adobe Suite, Canva, CapCut, etc.&
Social Media Digital Presence&
- Oversee and relaunch SAI’s corporate and business Instagram accounts&
- Establish content calendars and rollout plans across all verticals&
- Lead social strategy with a focus on engagement, clarity, and storytelling&
- Support website content and design improvements for each business as a secondary phase&
Business-Specific Marketing&
- Execute branding and content requests from individual businesses&
- Coach GMs on best practices for content, visual design, and social engagement&
- Deliver project-specific creative assets (e.g. flyers, social campaigns, videos)&
- Ensure visual quality and brand consistency across all outputs&
Corporate-Level Marketing&
- Lead design for company decks, board materials, and internal presentations&
- Oversee visual storytelling for SAI’s recruiting, alumni engagement, and donor updates&
- Spearhead cross-agency campaigns and marketing communications for major events&
Day-to-Day/General Responsibilities&
- Remain up to date on all professional communications&
- Contribute to the overall benefit of SAI by participating in meetings, office hours, team projects, corporate recruiting/orientation/training and aiding other businesses when necessary
- Honor all deadlines and action plans&
- Aid in the transition of the next manager by keeping organized records and adding to the training manual&
- Foster long-term business growth and development&
Necessary Skills
- Self-Management: The Chief Media and Marketing Officer& has the freedom to create their own projects but has to be able to see them through.&
- Communication: The need to effectively and efficiently communicate various design, brand, and project ideas is essential as the& Chief Media and Marketing Officer& is generally working with other managers on a joint project.&
- Analytic skills/experience: Data analytics are essential for reaching specific target audiences, setting a strategic calendar, and determining the success of different initiatives. As such,& the Chief Media and Marketing Officer& must be comfortable using analytics and schematics as needed.&
- Design Experience:& The Chief Media and Marketing Officer& should be familiar with design platforms (specifically Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator) and other creative outlets. You’re a full-stack creator who can take an idea from pitch to published post.&
- Strategic Vision: You understand how design and messaging influence real business outcomes.&
- Creativity: the ability to think out-of-the-box, recognize areas of improvement, and the ability to try new things make the& Chief Media and Marketing Officer& stand out.&
- Flexibility: Since the& Chief Media and Marketing Officer& works with other businesses and corporate-level managers, they need to be able to adapt to different schedules and timelines.&
- Ability to Work Under Pressure: As meeting deadlines is vital, the& Chief Media and Marketing Officer& must be able to work under pressure when due dates draw near.&
- Presentation: Can craft decks, visuals, and brand systems that leave a strong, lasting impression.&
