Job Description: Vice President of Sales & Marketing – Hotel Industry
Position Summary:
The Vice President of Sales & Marketing (VP of S&M) is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the revenue generation efforts of a hotel or hospitality organization. This role oversees sales, marketing, and revenue management strategies to ensure financial goals are met while enhancing the brand’s market presence and customer loyalty. The VP of S&M collaborates closely with executive leadership to align strategies with the overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Leadership:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
- Lead the Sales & Marketing team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry innovations to maintain a competitive edge.
Revenue Generation:
- Oversee pricing strategies, revenue management, and forecasting to maximize profitability of the portfolio.
- Set and monitor sales targets, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Collaborate with the Revenue Management team to optimize inventory and pricing strategies.
Marketing & Branding:
- Lead brand development and positioning initiatives to strengthen market presence.
- Oversee digital marketing efforts, including social media, SEO, email campaigns, and website management.
- Ensure all marketing efforts align with the brand identity and resonate with target audiences.
Sales Management:
- Cultivate relationships with key accounts, corporate clients, and travel partners to drive direct bookings and partnerships.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the brand and expand business opportunities.
- Evaluate sales team performance and implement training programs to enhance effectiveness.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with operations, finance, and other departments to ensure alignment of sales and marketing efforts with business objectives.
- Provide regular reports and insights to the executive team regarding sales performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives.
Customer Experience & Retention:
- Monitor guest feedback and work with operational teams to address service issues and enhance the customer journey.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the Marriott Brand.
- Prior Experience working in ProfitPace, CI/TY, SFAWeb, Travel Click and other S&M tools.

Pay: From $100,000.00 per year

Experience:
- Hotel Sales and Marketing: 5 years (Required)
