JOB PURPOSE Explora Journeys is a vibrant, cosmopolitan, European luxury brand, imagined in the heart of Swiss hospitality and luxury in Geneva. Leveraging our parent company MSC Group`s hundreds of years of maritime expertise, our fleet of six luxury ships (four currently in the pipeline) have been designed and built in a totally different and unique way that transforms and redefines the luxury cruise experience, creating a category of its own, appealing to the next generation of luxury travelers.
The Director of Integrated Marketing is tasked with spearheading consumer marketing strategies, programs, promotions, and campaigns to drive demand and enhance brand awareness for Explora Journeys North America. This position reports to the VP Commercial Strategy & Management and reports dotted line to the Global Head of Digital and E-Commerce
This role seamlessly integrates business insights with marketing expertise across multiple channels, to drive growth across all sales channelsB2C web, phone, inbound and outbound as well as B2B). The Director will lead media strategy, plans, execution and optimization to support the goals of driving site traffic, generating leads, increasing bookings at target ROI, and building brand awareness, consideration, preference and purchase intent against our target audience of luxury travelers.
The Director will work with external agency resources, internal stakeholders in the US, and counterparts in our Geneva headquarters to deliver an effective integrated media strategy across all paid marketing channels, including offline, digital and paid social media
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Drive all North America performance marketing activities focused on driving brand awareness against target audience, and maximizing traffic and leads for all distribution channels (B2C + B2B, web + phone, inbound + outbound)
Drive media strategy, planning, execution, testing and optimization, integrating across offline, online and social media channels, B2C + B2B
Own and manage media agency relationships for North America marketing across offline, online, social media, B2C + B2B
Budget, manage and optimize media spend and mix across all marketing channels
Ensure consistency and effectiveness in brand messaging, voice and visuals across all channels and campaigns, adhering to global brand standards, in close collaboration with HQ Marketing leaders
Measure, monitor and report on all marketing effectiveness KPI's, drawing insights to drive continuous performance improvement
Stay current with new advances in media, the competitive landscape, attribution models and vendor capabilities
QUALIFICATIONS Experience and strong track record in performance marketing for a branded consumer experience brands strongly preferred, ideally in cruise, travel or hospitality, or in analogous sectors such as financial services or entertainment
Experience and strong track record in luxury sectors preferred, ideally in luxury cruise/travel, luxury hospitality or other luxury services/experiences.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or similar, MBA preferred, ideally from highly competitive academic institutions
10+ years of integrated consumer marketing experience including media strategy, planning, and measurement, ideally with experience in both the agency side and the client side
Proven track record of strong performance and career progression in high-performing brands and/or marketing agencies known for attracting and developing great talent
Proven expertise in omnichannel strategies, with a track record of successfully driving traffic across diverse platforms.
Solid understanding of media landscape with balance of traditional and emerging solutions
Ability to flow seamlessly from strategy to execution, driving vision while also commanding a deep understanding of tactical day-to-day actions to ensure strong in market execution on time, on budget and meeting KPIs
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a proven track record of effective teamwork across functions and levels
Demonstrated tenacity, perseverance and grit
Ability to be assertive and operate with a sense of urgency, making data-based recommendations and influencing others with an expert point of view
