Job Description: Event Manager - Soul

Position Overview:
Soul, an eCommerce business, is seeking a personable and creative Event Manager to lead efforts in building a thriving community around our brand. This role focuses on organizing in-person events and driving engagement to bridge the gap between our digital storefront and the local Austin community. The ideal candidate is an experienced event planner, a masterful networker, and a skilled content creator who can bring people together to share in Soul’s vision and values.
Responsibilities
Event Management
- Plan, coordinate, and execute one Soul-managed and sponsored event every 60 days to connect people to Soul’s eCommerce mission.
- Ensure events highlight and promote the brand, fostering customer loyalty and interest.
- Oversee all event logistics, delivering an excellent experience from start to finish.
Event Participation
- Represent Soul at three events per week, actively engaging with local communities and stakeholders.
- Strengthen brand awareness by building authentic relationships with attendees, vendors, and partners.
Community Building & Networking
- Cultivate connections within the Austin community to drive awareness and support for Soul’s eCommerce business.
- Collaborate with local creators, businesses, and organizations to amplify brand initiatives and co-host events.
Budget Oversight
- Manage an event budget effectively, ensuring a balance between quality and cost-efficiency.
- Source venues, vendors, and resources aligned with the brand’s vision while staying within budgetary limits.
Content Creation
- Produce impactful static and video content to promote events, boost engagement, and enhance Soul’s digital presence.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to integrate content into the eCommerce strategy.
Vendor Procurement
- Identify and hire local videographers and photographers to professionally document events.
- Oversee contracts and deliverables to maintain brand consistency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in event planning and management, ideally with a focus on community-building or brand representation.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills; ability to connect with diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in content creation, including video production and editing.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with Austin’s creative and business ecosystem is a strong plus.
