JOB DESCRIPTION
The Associate Brand Manager-Innovation position contributes to brand success by being responsible for execution of the company's new products, concepts and items in support of the company growth. This role supports the Innovation business activities by collaborating with base, sales, product development, brand, operations, and finance to support in building incremental growth, reporting to the Sr. Brand Manager-Innovation. This role also serves as support for consumer research studies.
Primary Responsibilities
- Be a champion for our category, brand and consumer: Use marketplace data and trends to conduct key analyses and provide recommendations to the brand and product development teams on new items, and competition; uncovering & reporting key insights & analytics to drive successful innovation plans.
- Understand retail environment & how to best win at key customers/channels: support in developing customer presentations that communicate key insights for new items at retailers with a solid foundation of storytelling.
- Support cross functionally: Primary team contact for the cross-functional team to ensure successful product launches
- Manage new item launches: packaging, samples, assets, timeline, specs, sales materials, and selling decks alongside project manager
- Coordinate and help facilitate cross-functional discussions that support and drive innovation workstreams forward, working closely with the product development/R&D teams
- Primary Brand Creative point of contact for vendor questions (invoice & vendor management)
- Take the lead, create and maintain internal product briefs, artwork review, routing, & release process and product specs
- Support consumer research studies working closely with our agency partners
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate has an authentic passion for consumers, snacking and building brands, with some experience working in a sales, research or brand role in the consumer-packaged goods or food industry.
Ideal Qualifications:
- 3-4 years prior working experience (consumer packaged goods industry is a plus)
- BS/BA degree, MBA preferred.
- Analytical capability pulling and deriving insights from data, preferably fluent with IRI/Nielsen
- Strong communication/writing skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
