This Junior Graphic Designer role will work directly with the creative team helping make all visual communications that represent Function of Beauty. The role entails designing and developing visual assets across all channels such as print materials, email design, SMS design, and both static and animated social ads. The role requires a mix of highly creative thinking, problem-solving, creative execution, and efficient prioritization. This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days in office.
The creative team operates as an in-house agency, performing creative work (concepting and development) against briefs from business leading functions. We are looking for a self-starter who will roll up their sleeves to get the work done - someone creative, organized and a team player to deliver creative assets that resonate with the brand positioning, our audience, delivered on time to the key stakeholders.
Functions and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that Function of Beauty’s established look-and-feel and tone of voice is successfully implemented with an ability to translate business and marketing objectives into designs that are clear and compelling
- Email Assets: Develop, design, and maintain brand standards for visual communication across the Growth email channel.
- Print: Help develop designs for partnering teams to create direct mail pieces, invitations, inserts, stickers, postcards for production, merch headers and shelf talkers
- Web: Help design assets for web and provide optimized deliverables to the Development team
- Ads: Format creative for Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, SMS, affiliate banners, and Google Display ads
- Image Making: Producing and designing image and video shoots
Required Skills/Abilities
- BFA or BA in graphic design, advertising, or relevant field
- 2+ Years experience in ad design
- Proficient in Figma, Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and G Suite
- Eye for composition, type, color and lighting
- Motion-graphics and video editing experience a HUGE plus
- Basic knowledge of Klaviyo a plus
- Prior experience creating digital ads
- Prior experience in beauty a plus
- Outstanding organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to concept, develop, and execute visual assets from start to finish
- Creative thinker with a discerning eye for design and typography
- Passion for getting clicks
- Eagerness to learn and receive feedback
