Job Description Summary
We are seeking a
Manager of Marketing Analytics (VP title) with a strategic mindset and strong analytical skills to lead data-driven marketing insights that support growth and customer engagement. This role focuses on translating complex data into actionable insights, providing guidance to marketing leadership, and enhancing decision-making processes. The ideal candidate is both hands-on and collaborative, with experience in banking or financial services, skilled at balancing in-depth analysis with a practical understanding of business needs.
What You’ll Do
Analytics Leadership & Team Management
- Supervise and mentor a team of marketing analysts, data specialists, and business intelligence experts.
- Set performance goals aligned with strategic marketing priorities and support team development through continuous feedback and training.
- Champion a data-driven culture within the marketing team, encouraging innovative use of analytics.
Marketing Performance Analysis
- Analyze and report on marketing performance across channels (e.g., digital, direct mail, email), using data to inform campaign effectiveness and ROI.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of marketing initiatives, collaborating with senior marketing and business leaders.
- Conduct detailed analyses on customer segmentation, lifetime value, and product/service usage trends to enhance targeting and retention efforts.
Data Infrastructure & Reporting Standards
- Partner with IT and data governance teams to ensure marketing data quality, accessibility, and integrity.
- Lead the design and implementation of reporting tools and dashboards, enabling clear and timely insights for senior management.
- Establish and maintain consistent reporting standards and data definitions to support accurate, organization-wide insights.
Customer Insights & Predictive Analytics
- Use advanced analytics, including predictive modeling and machine learning techniques, to forecast customer behavior and support targeted marketing.
- Oversee customer segmentation strategies, identifying valuable customer groups and tailoring marketing efforts to optimize engagement.
- Provide strategic insights into customer journeys and behavior, enhancing personalized marketing initiatives and customer loyalty.
Budgeting & Resource Optimization
- Manage analyses of marketing budget efficiency, providing insights to optimize resource allocation and improve return on investment.
- Work with finance and marketing leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost-benefit analysis for new initiatives.
- Identify areas for growth and process improvements that maximize marketing spend effectiveness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., product, finance, compliance) to integrate insights and ensure alignment with broader business strategies.
- Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership, translating data insights into actionable strategies that support business goals.
- Advocate for customer-centric, data-informed decisions across the organization.
Knowledge/Skills/Background/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Marketing, or a related field. Master’s degree or advanced certifications in analytics, data science, or similar disciplines is preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in marketing analytics, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Proven experience in the banking or financial services industry, with a deep understanding of compliance, regulatory considerations, and market dynamics.
- Proficiency with analytical and statistical tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R), visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and marketing data platforms.
- Strong understanding of customer analytics, predictive modeling, and financial performance analysis.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex data to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively across functions.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a strategic, business-focused mindset.

Salary
The estimated salary range for this role is $117,000 -$158,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience.
