Job Summary
The Director of Performance Marketing & Strategy is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team at Vital. This role is responsible for optimizing Vital’s day-to-day tactical and strategic operations across all sales and marketing channels in order to drive new leads, pipeline stage conversion, and close-won business. This role drives performance improvements across all GTM channels through an in-depth analysis of marketing and pipeline analytics to make strategic business recommendations.
This is an influential and highly-visible role within our organization. The successful candidate bridges the sales & marketing gap as well as a conduit to Vital’s Medical, Product, and Executive Leadership teams. They establish and maintain communication, promoting mutual understanding and cooperation across these functions.

Primary Responsibilities (Daily, Weekly, Monthly)
- Track, monitor, and optimize channel performance across the entire GTM engine against Vital’s overall goals and objectives
- Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting on key performance metrics and channel ROI to Executive Leadership
- Leads all efforts in the utilization of data-driven methodology, analysis, and measurement in order to improve the effectiveness of all GTM channels
- Builds strategies, oversees optimization and measurement of the following GTM metrics:
- CAC by channel & overall, Cost Per Lead by channel, Customer Lifetime Value, Click thru & bounce rates, Lead generation by channel, Website conversion rate, Social media engagement, including dark social, MQL to SQL ratio
- Conduct research and analysis to develop a market segmentation strategy to determine Vital’s Tier I, II, & III ICPs
- Use data to inform SEO & SEM strategy.
- Test, optimize, and scale GTM channels for growth efficiency.
- Display an ability and passion to continuously and consistently evaluate potentially lucrative acquisition channels for possible scaling and further testing.
- Internal owner for Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zoominfo, Gong, & Definitive Healthcare.
- Collaborate with Vital’s Director of Sales and Director of Marketing in order to define strategic objectives, channel budgets & success metrics.
- In conjunction with Vital’s Director of Sales and Director of Marketing, create tactical execution plans for each GTM channel for the purpose of achieving campaign and business goals & objectives.
Qualifications - Minimum & Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree with strong preference for those with a master’s degree in a business related or technical field such as Marketing, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or any other related field. An equivalent of the same is also acceptable for this position.
- 10+ years of experience in driving consumer acquisition across GTM channels such as direct sales, website, social media, paid social, paid search, retargeting, events (digital & in-person), and executive networking.
- 10+ years experience in enterprise SaaS with 6-figure ACV deals
- History of driving growth with innovative demand generation and prospecting campaigns, working cross-functionally between traditional sales and marketing teams
- Vast experience working not only with ad-serving platforms and digital monitoring tools, but also with offline marketing tools and strategies
- Highly analytical and data driven; demonstrating a keen understanding and appreciation of research and analysis to make strategic recommendations
- Ability to track and report on key metrics that measure performance across all GTM channels
- Proficient with core Google suite of products: Sheets, Docs, Slides, Drive, Meet
- Proficient with asynchronous collaboration tools: Slack, Jira, Confluence, Loom
- Proficient in Salesforce and Hubspot
- Experience defining clear goals, objectives, and KPIs for a Performance Marketing team in alignment with broader company objectives.
- Preferred - Proficient in SQL
- Preferred - Experience selling & marketing digital health products to hospitals and health systems
- Preferred - Demonstrated understanding of the common challenges facing hospitals and health systems in the United States
