Role Overview
As the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at RGC, you will be at the forefront of our mission to drive global diversity and innovation. You will lead and execute comprehensive marketing strategies across all RGC sectors, with a strong focus on digital marketing, social media, community building, content marketing, experiential marketing, PR, and engagement marketing. This is a unique opportunity to shape the marketing landscape of a rapidly growing startup with a diverse portfolio of brands.
Key Responsibilities
Develop Investor-Focused Marketing Strategies:
• Create comprehensive marketing plans tailored to investors, emphasizing the potential for high returns, innovative solutions, and market differentiation.
• Showcase RGC’s unique integration of art, technology, culture, and social impact across all sectors, including hospitality and co-working spaces, sex tech and health and wellness, fashion and beauty, real estate development, and entertainment and media.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the investor community, including venture capitalists, angel investors, and institutional investors.
• Participate in investor events, webinars, and conferences to network and showcase RGC’s potential.
• Use market research and data analytics to illustrate the unmet needs in each sector RGC operates in and how RGC addresses these gaps.
• Present growth projections, potential market share, and scalability of RGC’s business model.
Strategic Planning & Execution:
• Develop and implement a holistic marketing strategy that aligns with RGC's mission and goals.
• Drive marketing efforts across all RGC sectors, ensuring consistent messaging and branding.
• Establish clear marketing KPIs and performance metrics to track and report progress.
• Continuously analyze market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new product launches and market entries.
Digital and Social Media Marketing:
• Create and execute digital marketing strategies with a strong emphasis on social media, community building, and content marketing.
• Manage RGC's social media channels, ensuring consistent and engaging content.
• Utilize data analytics to understand customer behavior and refine digital marketing strategies.
• Implement SEO, SEM, and PPC strategies to drive online visibility and traffic.
Experiential Marketing:
• Design and execute innovative experiential marketing strategies that blend in-person (IRL) and digital experiences.
• Leverage technology and creative storytelling to create memorable brand experiences.
• Integrate cutting-edge technologies such as AR/VR and biometrics into marketing initiatives.
• Coordinate and oversee large-scale events, sponsorships, and activations that align with brand objectives.
PR & Communications:
• Develop and manage public relations strategies to enhance RGC's brand reputation.
• Cultivate relationships with media, influencers, and key stakeholders to amplify brand visibility.
• Oversee the creation and distribution of press releases, media kits, and other PR materials.
• Act as a spokesperson for the company at industry events, conferences, and media engagements.
• Manage crisis communication strategies and ensure timely and effective response to any public relations issues.
Funnel & Engagement Marketing:
• Develop and optimize marketing funnels to drive customer acquisition and retention.
• Implement engagement marketing tactics to increase brand loyalty and community participation.
• Lead the implementation of CRM systems and marketing automation tools.
• Develop and manage loyalty programs and customer engagement initiatives.
Out-of-Home (OOH) Marketing:
• Develop and execute out-of-home advertising strategies to enhance brand presence.
• Identify and secure high-visibility advertising locations and opportunities.
• Coordinate the production and installation of OOH advertising materials.
Radio & Podcast Marketing:
• Develop and manage radio marketing and podcast advertising strategies.
• Identify relevant radio and podcast platforms to reach target audiences.
• Create compelling audio advertisements and sponsorships to promote RGC brands.
Influencer & Celebrity Marketing:
• Develop and execute influencer and celebrity marketing campaigns.
• Identify and establish partnerships with influencers and celebrities who align with RGC's brand values.
• Manage relationships with influencers and celebrities, ensuring successful campaign execution.
Team Leadership & Development:
• Build and lead The MRKT, RGC's marketing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance on best practices and innovative marketing techniques.
• Implement training programs to keep the team updated with the latest marketing trends and tools.
• Manage budget allocations and resource planning for the marketing department.
• Create a roadmap for scaling the marketing team as the company grows.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with the Chief Design Officer (CDO) on design and branding initiatives.
• Collaborate with other C-suite executives to align marketing strategies with business objectives.
• Develop marketing strategies to attract investors and engage stakeholders.
• Partner with the product development team to ensure marketing strategies align with product launches and updates.
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop lead generation and sales enablement strategies.
Hands-on Execution:
• Wear multiple hats as needed until capital generation, including hands-on involvement in various marketing tasks.
• Ensure high-quality execution of all marketing campaigns and initiatives.
• Monitor and respond to customer feedback on social media and other digital platforms.
Qualifications
Experience & Expertise:
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on digital marketing, social media, community building, and content marketing.
• Proven track record in experiential marketing, PR, funnel marketing, and engagement marketing.
• Strong understanding of Gen Z and millennial marketing, and multicultural marketing strategies.
• Previous experience in startup environments, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
• Experience in managing multi-channel marketing campaigns and optimizing marketing spend.
Leadership & Collaboration:
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing marketing teams.
• Exceptional collaboration skills with experience working closely with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Innovation & Creativity:
• Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and staying ahead of marketing trends.
• Ability to create and execute unique marketing campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in leveraging data analytics to drive decision-making and strategy development.
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management tools, CRM systems, and marketing automation software.
• Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and PPC strategies.
• Experience with content management systems and web analytics tools.
• Familiarity with email marketing platforms, influencer marketing, affiliate marketing, and podcast marketing.
• Experience with graphic design software and video editing tools is a plus.
Financial Acumen:
• Comfortable with equity compensation and deferred salary arrangements.
• Understanding of financial metrics and the ability to develop strategies that drive revenue growth.
• Experience in managing marketing budgets and optimizing ROI.
