Position Overview
The Senior Vice President, Marketing is responsible for strategic oversight of client relationships, delivering a second-to-none client experience, and contributing to the efficiency of the Marketing & PR offers, as well as the growth of the business. As the Head of Account Management, this role oversees VPs who handle the day-to-day operations of retained and project-based marketing and PR clients, whose work is supported by members of the marketing team, as well as freelancers. The SVP will build and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, establish and build relationships among executives at our client firms, lead the strategy build for retained clients, and ensure that VPs are providing the Ficomm experience to all clients.
The SVP will also serve as a key brand ambassador to Ficomm, attending events, networking, and even occasionally public speaking where appropriate. The SVP will participate in the new business and proposal creation process, helping Ficomm secure new clients.
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Acts as the steward of the Ficomm Experience for marketing & PR clients, leading the VPs to provide the best communication, accountability, and quality
- Serves as the strategic lead for assigned clients throughout the client’s retainer or project
- Manages and creates marketing and strategic communications plans through thoughtful research and strategic oversight
- Manages VPs and helps them develop their skills
- Owns the relationship with client executives above the day-to-day main point of contact
- Evaluates projects upon completion, comparing forecasted production hours with actuals; provides recommendations for greater project efficiency
- Sources new contract workers to support various aspects of Ficomm’s work
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams/projects where needed
- Work with other senior members across the firm to spearhead new business, recruiting, mentoring, onboarding, and account staffing
- Financial services industry experience strongly preferred, as well as a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced agency environment
Qualifications
- B.S./B.A. in Marketing, Communications, Business or related fields
- Minimum of 10-15 years prior marketing experience
- Leadership ability with a love for developing people
- Experience with/interest in financial services (specific experience in independent wealth management preferred)
- Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- A go-getter that thrives as a member of an entrepreneurial team and culture
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with knowledge of HubSpot and project management software (Wrike) preferred
- Creative and energetic personality with start-up mentality that has the ability to work independently and within a team
