Overview: As the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at our confidential med-tech company, you will play a pivotal role in driving overall growth, demand generation, customer acquisition, and revenue expansion. Reporting directly to the CEO and being an integral part of the executive leadership team, you will spearhead strategic initiatives, foster innovation, and provide cross-functional leadership to achieve ambitious business objectives. This role requires a dynamic and visionary leader who can drive impactful marketing strategies while managing a team of 10-15 direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall Growth Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with company objectives to drive sustainable growth and market expansion.
- Demand Generation: Lead initiatives to generate demand through targeted marketing campaigns, customer insights, and market analysis.
- Customer Acquisition and Growth: Drive customer acquisition efforts, optimize conversion funnels, and implement retention strategies to foster long-term customer relationships and maximize lifetime value.
- Program Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive digital marketing strategy including digital advertising, email marketing, demand generation, lead nurturing, retargeting, display advertising, paid search, SEO, and SEM.
- Sales and Revenue: Collaborate closely with sales teams to ensure alignment between marketing efforts and revenue goals, optimizing sales enablement processes and driving revenue growth.
- P&L Responsibility: Own and manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to drive ROI and meet financial targets.
- Building Capabilities: Cultivate a high-performing marketing team by providing mentorship, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and developing talent to drive organizational success.
- Innovation: Drive innovation in marketing strategies, leveraging emerging trends, technologies, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
- Analytics: Oversee digital reporting and analytics, and work with marketing analytics to inform the digital marketing team’s KPIs and diagnostic dashboards.
- Leadership: Collaborate with other functional leaders to ensure alignment and integration of marketing initiatives with overall business strategies. Build, manage, and coach the marketing team of 10-15 direct reports.
Requirements:
- 15+ years as a strategic marketing leader, preferably in the digital health or med-tech industry, with responsibility for membership growth.
- Creative marketing strategist and innovator driving a company’s growth, and brand equity.
- In-depth experience with digital marketing channels and technologies, including SEO, PPC ads, social media, and content marketing
- Expert in developing customer acquisition and retention strategies that enhance brand loyalty and market position.
- Experience implementing customer-centric marketing strategies and brand positioning through market research & analysis, insights, and customer or consumer feedback
- Strong business acumen supported by a data-driven approach to managing performance metrics and marketing ROI.
- Skilled in crafting communication and messaging strategies for advertising, PR, sales, DTC, and trade & media
- Capable of fostering long-term relationships with both internal teams and external industry or peer groups
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field; MBA preferred
