Wish You Were Here Group is looking for a Social Media Manager for our national Restaurant Group. We are seeking a highly creative, strategic, and organized candidate to lead our social media content and campaign efforts, driving brand awareness and engagement to new heights. This role requires proven experience in bringing social ideas to life, building out content calendars, and helping our brands grow their social channels through engaging content and social strategies.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about the work, takes initiative, pushes their own ideas, communicates effectively and timely, collaborates cross-functionally, and solves problems creatively. You will report directly to the Director of Marketing and collaborate with various teams to elevate the brand across our diverse portfolio of restaurants and hospitality concepts.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience in managing social channels and strategy within the hospitality or similar industries, preferably with corporate experience
- Proven ability to handle multiple social media channels and brands simultaneously
- Demonstrated success in strategizing, implementing, and managing social media campaigns
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative campaigns, content, and strategies
- Proficient with Social Media Management Platforms, Facebook Business, and Ad Manager
- Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of social media trends, best practices, and analytics tools
- Highly organized with strong skills in copywriting, video/photo editing, and graphic design
- Effective communicator capable of presenting strategies to both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments, managing multiple assignments and meeting deadlines
- Proficient in design tools (Canva, Photoshop, Adobe Suite), social media management platforms and video editing tools
- Skilled in managing and sourcing vendors, freelancers, content creators, influencers, and photographers
- Passionate about social media, culture, food, and hospitality
- Keen eye for design and aesthetics & a sense of humor is a plus!
- Bachelor's Degree required
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Oversee all social media accounts (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) for Wish You Were Here Group and its concepts, ensuring consistent and engaging content
- Set social media strategy guiding content creation for the group's restaurants and venues. Partner with the Director and Marketing team to develop a strategy that supports marketing objectives across all digital channels
- Lead the creation and execution of captivating social media content and campaigns that resonate with the target audience, drive growth, and elevate the brands and group
- Provide creative direction for all social media content, including graphics, videos, and written copy, ensuring consistency and innovation
- Develop and implement efficient social media processes, including content plans and ROI strategies
- Prepare and present monthly social media plans for each brand and channel
- Build creative decks with campaign and content ideas – this role requires you to put pen to paper and come up with buzzworthy ideas and campaigns to pitch
- You will take ownership for entire campaigns, providing strong leadership and direction throughout all stages of a project, including the management of vendors
- Assist with brainstorming and ideation of general creative marketing concepts, campaigns and events for each individual brand, new launches and for the group
- Collaborate with influencers and creators to capture and produce creative content
- Manage relationships with influencers, vendors, and freelancers, ensuring best-in-class campaign execution
- Contribute hands-on by creating high-quality social media content (including short video content for social pages across properties) and design assets as needed, staying updated with the latest industry trends and best practices
- Analyze social media performance, preparing regular reports and adjusting strategies based on insights
- Coordinate photo and video shoots, creating shot lists and mood boards in collaboration with marketing team members
- Develop and maintain brand guidelines and playbooks for social media presence, defining voice, tone, and design standards
- Ideate high-level partnerships, collaborations, and events with like-minded brands
- Write and curate strong social copy (ideas, captions, stories, in-asset copy, pitch decks, scripts, etc.) in alignment with each venue's style and voice
- Manage and present social media budgets for approval (paid and organic)
Work Schedule
- Traveling will be required
- Some remote work but most of the work will be in the respective market’s office
