Job Purpose and Role
The Director of Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth. You will also play a key role in structuring repeatable and measurable marketing efforts that align with our company goals. This role requires a results-driven, creative, and collaborative leader with a strong background in B2B SaaS marketing, focusing on managing projects, documenting processes, analyzing campaign performance, and optimizing our website to enhance user experience, conversion rates and lead generation
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement Marketing Strategy:
- Create and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with company objectives, target market, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to define marketing goals, KPIs, and budgets.
- Brand Management and Positioning:
- Ensure brand consistency and integrity across all marketing channels and materials.
- Develop and maintain a strong brand positioning strategy that differentiates the company in the market.
- Customer Acquisition and Retention:
- Develop lead generation and customer acquisition strategies to drive product adoption and increase customer lifetime value.
- Implement customer retention programs to enhance customer satisfaction and reduce churn rates.
- Digital Marketing and Online Presence:
- Manage digital marketing channels, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, and content marketing.
- Optimize online presence to attract and engage prospects, and convert them into customers
- Manage the optimization of company websites, by understanding and improving user journeys, online experience and conversion rates, with hands-on management of website projects.
- Manage website projects to “tell our story” in more engaging, compelling ways for different audiences and solutions. E.g. product demos, ROI calculators etc.
- Market Research and Competitor Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities for growth.
- Monitor competitor activities and market dynamics to refine the marketing strategy.
- Lead SEO projects and processes to improve search engine rankings and drive traffic. These will include on-site, content and technical SEO projects.
- Research and implement tools to improve execution and impact of SEO efforts, website improvements and more.
- Marketing Analytics and Reporting
- Inform data-driven decisions by measuring and reporting on channel and campaign performance.
- Utilize analytics and data-driven insights to evaluate marketing performance, ROI, and campaign effectiveness.
- Create and maintain regular dashboards using data from Google Analytics and Hubspot.
- Manage reporting of marketing tests, with proper sequencing, to advance our marketing roadmap
- Generate presentations to communicate results and recommendations to the leadership team.
- Lead Cross-Functional Teams:
- Oversee and mentor a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with Sales and Product Teams:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing strategies are aligned with company objectives and customer needs.
- Work closely with the sales and product teams to align marketing efforts with sales initiatives and product launches.
- Provide marketing support for product launches and updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 6 years of experience in marketing roles, with significant experience in the SaaS industry, in marketing operations, project management, or a similar role.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful B2B marketing strategies.
- Knowledge of WordPress and experience in user experience (U/X) and website optimization.
- Proven track record of managing SEO projects and improving website metrics.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with tools for interactive content (Example: Typeform, Outgrow etc)
- Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for translating data into actionable insights.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Superior documentation skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, collaboration skills and capable of working with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in marketing automation, CRM, and analytics tools.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
Location: Goshen, NY
Hours: Available during standard US business hours (9am-5pm EST or 8:30am-4:30pm EST)
Benefits
For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $60,000 - $105,000. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
