Pepper's mission is to inspire the entire world to embrace the flat in flattering. We're looking for a Director of Brand & Integrated Marketing to help achieve that mission by driving brand awareness and customer obsession. You'll develop and execute the strategy for positioning Pepper as an unapologetic, inclusive and confident brand and making Pepper a household name.
The ideal candidate is a driven and creative marketing leader with a deep understanding of the digital and social media landscape and has a pulse on the cutting edge of marketing and cultural trends. This role will bring our brand strategy to life and will be responsible for integrated marketing, product marketing, social media & influencer marketing, PR, brand campaign execution, and content strategy with a core focus on driving non-paid traffic, engagement and revenue.
What You'll Do:
- Brand Leadership: Develop and execute the annual brand strategy, seasonal marketing calendars and campaigns, and act as the primary steward of the brand, ensuring consistency and continuity across all consumer touchpoints.
- Brand Evolution: Ideate creative campaigns and content to help tell Pepper's story in new and interesting ways that drive awareness, affinity and drive high quality customer acquisition and retention
- Product Marketing: Lead product positioning and briefing for all Pepper products, new and existing, to drive successful launches, and growth in hero styles ongoing.
- Integrated Marketing: Own the planning and execution for all aspects of consumer communication including messaging, go-to-market strategy, product launches, customer-facing marketing communications and campaigns
- Content Creation: Develop and execute paid and organic content strategy for video, social, email, blog, and in box assets to support Pepper's mission of changing body standards and inspiring confidence in the world
- Community Building: Turn the passion of our fans and customers into community as a growth channel through scaling ambassadors, online/offline activations and initiatives like the Pepper Startup Grant
- Team Management: Directly lead and manage key teams responsible for social media, influencer marketing, public relations, product marketing and other brand related activities.
Requirements
- Passionate about Pepper's mission to redefine body standards and lives Pepper's brand and ethos
- 10+ years of brand marketing experience at a fast-growing, beloved consumer brand
- A strong balance of right and left brain: Highly creative with the ability to use insights and data to drive decisions
- Creative visual and verbal storyteller who can capture the heart of a brand
- Goal-oriented, cool under pressure and strives for continuous improvement
- Thrives in fast-paced startup environments and comfortable rolling up sleeves
- Strong organizational, communication and project management skills
- Excellent cross-functional leadership
- Comfortable with challenging the status quo and proposing wild ideas *that might just work*
