Overview:
Gopuff is seeking an experienced Senior Lifecycle Marketer to join the Growth Marketing Team leading all Lifecycle activities for Gopuff. This is an exciting new role with ample opportunity to shape the strategic and tactical framework for Gopuff to drive customer growth and lifetime value.
As the Director of Lifecycle Marketing, you will lead a dedicated team of marketers responsible for Gopuff's Lifecycle programs across email, push, SMS, and in-app strategies. You will build and execute the Lifecycle Strategy to help customers understand Gopuff's diverse product offerings while meeting aggressive growth objectives. Your responsibilities include developing tactical strategies for acquisition and retention, optimizing Lifecycle communication, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to achieve business goals. You will need to balance high-level strategic thinking with hands-on execution to deliver and measure Lifecycle program success.
The ideal candidate has a strong track record of delivering business results in a highly competitive industry, by having a laser focus on results and implementing operational and technical change to drive best practice. You will have a deep understanding of retail strategy, customer behavior, segmentation, and the ability to create compelling marketing campaigns that enhance the customer experience and drive KPIs. This position reports to the VP of Growth.
You Will:
- Lead and support a team of smart, hardworking Lifecycle Marketers to deliver against ambitious growth goals.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on continuous improvement and achieving results.
- Design, implement, and optimize customer lifecycle marketing strategies to drive acquisition, engagement, retention, and reactivation.
- Build a robust experimentation roadmap to drive incremental growth and customer lifetime value
- Translate technical marketing requirements into actionable implementation roadmaps in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Define and optimize channel mix and investment levels across email, push, SMS, and in-app/site touchpoints.
- Develop audience segmentation strategies for personalized experiences across channels.
- Communicate effectively and influence outcomes at all business levels.
- Set aggressive goals for the team with clear accountability across outcomes and results
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track the performance of lifecycle marketing initiatives and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Partner with Marketing Automation suppliers to deliver a best in class Lifecycle strategy for Gopuff
You Have:
- 8-10+ years of B2C experience in lifecycle marketing, with a proven track record of driving customer acquisition and retention.
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the business as the Lifecycle leader, using data and insights to influence key decision makers
- In-depth channel knowledge of Lifecycle channels and technologies with experience managing and justifying large investments
- Experience with analytics and visualization tools to draw meaningful and actionable insights
- Proven experience running highly effective B2C Lifecycle marketing teams, programs, and strategies
- Retail / instant delivery experience is a plus
- In depth knowledge of marketing automation tools, with extensive experience maximizing the value of these tools
- (Braze experience is a plus)
- Demonstrated technical acumen; ability to influence and debate solutions with technical team members, understand technology solutions and potential tradeoffs and represent technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently; able to successfully operate in areas of uncertainty and ambiguity; self-starter and quick learner; calm and efficient under pressure
- Versatility and ability to prioritize/handle multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
- BA/BS in marketing, computer engineering, or business management; MBA or Masters in related field is a bonus
