Overview of the Role
Pointr, a global leader in digital maps and location technology, is seeking a dynamic Director of Product Marketing to join our Boston office. This role will involve positioning Pointr as an industry thought leader and effectively leading product communications. The ideal candidate will have strong business storytelling skills combined with a solid technical understanding.
Product Marketing Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a product marketing manager, guiding them to develop and execute a strategic vision for product marketing. Collaborate to create compelling content that effectively engages and resonates with our target audience of business executives and technical leaders.
- Develop whitepapers, PR campaigns, and other marketing content that establishes Pointr as an industry leader.
- Own our content strategy and calendar, ensuring a consistent and effective flow of content across all channels.
- Communicate Pointr’s product features and translate them into compelling benefits for prospective customers.
- Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and customer success teams to ensure cohesive product messaging.
- Support sales efforts in targeted vertical markets by providing relevant marketing and sales collateral.
- Work closely with the product marketing manager to develop and maintain foundational sales materials, including industry-specific decks and inserts.
- Oversee product and major feature launches.
- Capture customer requirements and feedback, relaying this information to the development team.
- Support product marketing manager with monthly product updates, ensuring consistent communication and engagement with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to market enterprise technologies, bridging the gap between engineering and sales.
- Experience managing a team or mentoring (preferably required; currently managing 1 person).
- Experience in product marketing for B2B is necessary; experience in marketing SaaS products is preferred.
- Proficiency with software tools such as Jira, Figma, and Monday.com.
- Technical background is advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product marketing or related fields.

Compensation:base $120k-$140k plus stock options
