The Creative & Story Senior Manager works directly with the Creative & Story Director to manage the Creative & Story team as they develop and implement creative strategies/ideas that move the mission of Bethel Church forward—to see revival change the world.
Under the direction of the Creative & Story Director, the Creative & Story Senior Manager is responsible for managing the people, processes, and systems that bring the vision from various Bethel leaders to life of how God is moving in and through the church, and inviting our global audience to join in.
This role is both creative and administrative, and the ideal candidate has both creative experience and a mind for processes.. As the Creative & Story Senior Manager, you will oversee team operations, budgets, and timelines, while ensuring that Bethel's Creative & Story core values are upheld. With an eye for visual design and a knack for details, this role utilizes the secret sauce of strategy to ideate, implement, and improve. Once an idea is envisioned and agreed to with the Creative & Story Director, the Creative & Story Manager develops the roadmap for implementing it alongside specialized leads/team managers (i.e. Communications, Marketing, Design and Video) and empowering them to accomplish objectives with their respective creative functions.
You will also play a vital role in shaping and developing a team of thriving creatives who value creating in relationship with the Excellent Creator Himself and the hearts of one another, alongside the teams they serve.
Responsibilities
- Meet with the Creative & Story Director on a regular basis to manage and steward the resources of the Creative & Story team (whether people, time, or tools) in alignment with the vision and goals of Bethel Church and Bethel's leadership. This includes the team's budget and resource needs, hiring and staff planning
- Meet with Creative & Story Specialized Team Managers (i.e. Communications, Marketing, Design and Video) on a regular basis to ensure that their teams are meeting their goals and objectives when it comes to Bethel's Creative & Story needs. This includes the health of the team being stewarded both through project workflow as well as people management
- Overseeing the Project Managers of the Creative & Story team and acting as Program Manager, in order for the various projects to be followed through from strategy to implementation and review within budget. This includes developing the Project Management function of the team, and charting the course for growth of Project Managers
- Working with the different specialized team managers to oversee the Creative & Story operational needs. This includes the project management platform of Monday.com and asset storage (from Google Drive, to the shared server and more). You should be comfortable not just improving and refining existing systems, but also developing new workflows should the need arise
- Leading in partner/client management, and stewarding the relationships with Bethel's ministries and teams to develop and implement creative/marketing strategies as partners

Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience
- Excellent communicator and creative thinker with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strategic with the ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions and develop a plan to meet objectives and goals
- A good understanding of the different specializations of Creative & Marketing functions (i.e. Project Management, Communications, Marketing, Copy, Design and Video) and the usage of different media channels for effective strategic communication, including digital marketing campaigns
- Planning, program and project management skills—knowledge of how to set goals, make a plan to achieve them, manage the process to reach said goals, as well as review for future learning; ability to create, maintain and improve Monday.com systems is a plus
- Good analytical skills—must be able to assemble and interpret data, create executive summaries and deliver business insights
- Good problem solving skills—able to identify, analyze and propose solutions to various business or execution issues
- Capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously with varying scope and priorities
