Job Overview:
Reporting to the SVP, Marketing & Communications, the Director, Digital Marketing will drive the organization’s online growth and engagement. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the digital marketing strategy and will oversee all digital marketing activities, including social media, website content, email marketing and analytics.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive digital marketing strategy to increase overall brand awareness for the organization.
- Collaborate with leadership team & stakeholders to align digital marketing initiatives with overall business goals and ensure cohesive messaging and digital marketing efforts
- Direct social media strategy across various platforms to increase engagement and followers; monitor trends and adjust strategies as needed
- Plan, execute, and optimize multi-channel digital marketing campaigns; ensure campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and meet performance goals
- Develop and manage email marketing campaigns to help further organizations goals
- Utilize analytics tools to measure and report on the performance of digital marketing campaigns
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, agencies, & vendors
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field (master’s degree preferred)
- 8-10 years' experience in a digital marketing role, preferably in a complex organization or agency
- Experience building and executing social media strategies
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (Google Analytics, HubSpot, Sprout etc.)
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have an entrepreneurial mindset with a strong desire to have an impact on society
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment; ability to exercise flexibility and good judgment in complex situations
- Appetite for curiosity and desire to learn
- Experience at a start-up organization, government contractor, or government agency is a plus
