About Us: Toho International, Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of Toho Co, Ltd (“Toho”), a prestigious Japanese entertainment studio renowned for its development, production, exhibition, and distribution of captivating live-action and anime content, including motion pictures, television, and theater. We focus on managing and commercializing Toho’s intellectual property portfolio, with a special emphasis on the iconic Godzilla brand. Our robust e-commerce and merchandising efforts include the official Godzilla.com website, the Godzilla Store, and a strong English-language social media presence through YouTube, X, Instagram, and Facebook.
You are a visionary and dynamic Marketing Leader with a strong emphasis on e-commerce and merchandising. You are a strategic thinker who thrives in a startup environment and has a passion for entertainment. You will be instrumental in driving our brand’s growth and market presence through innovative marketing and merchandising strategies.
How you drive success
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and merchandising strategies that align with business goals, driving brand awareness and revenue growth.
- Collaborate closely with the e-commerce team to enhance user experience and optimize the Godzilla & iiZO stores, driving online sales and customer loyalty.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a marketing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Utilize data analytics to inform marketing and merchandising decisions, measure success, and optimize campaigns. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives and key results (OKRs) for the team.
- Oversee the creation of engaging marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, and traditional media, to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement.
- Work on building and enhancing the Toho International, Inc. brand identity in the international market, ensuring consistency and alignment with our core values and vision.
- Partner with other departments, including product development, licensing & partnerships, and operations, to ensure cohesive strategies and execution.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and market changes, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation in the entertainment and e-commerce sectors.
- Oversee and manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with media and industry influencers, leveraging leading PR agency connections, and be prepared for media training or open to media training, to enhance brand reputation and visibility as the public voice of TI for marketing and ecommerce.
- Regularly report marketing and merchandising results to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Success Factors:
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in marketing, with a proven track record in e-commerce and merchandising within the entertainment or retail industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to work in an ambiguous, startup-like environment and establish processes and strategies from the ground up. Comfortable navigating and adapting to the unknown, with the agility to pivot as necessary.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to develop innovative marketing and merchandising campaigns that capture audience interest and drive engagement.
- Experience leading and developing a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, marketing automation tools, CRM software, and digital marketing platforms.
- Understanding of international markets and cultural nuances, especially in relation to entertainment and e-commerce.
