The Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA), the premier association dedicated to enhancing the success of Florida CPAs, is one of the largest CPA organizations in the U.S. It has more than 18,000 members who work in public accounting, business & industry, government, nonprofit organizations, and education.
As a financially sound association with a stellar reputation across the entire accounting ecosystem and broader business community, the FICPA has a strong voice and seat at the table with the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and state legislature in promoting the profession and shaping public policy.
With its headquarters in Orlando and an office in Tallahassee, the FICPA has a highly capable staff of over 40 professionals and an operating budget of approximately $8 million.

Position Summary
Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the Chief Growth Officer will lead a high-caliber team to create and implement strategies aimed at enhancing member value through a focus on sustainable growth. With the goal of growing revenue and market penetration within the profession, s/he will ensure effective and efficient operations of the following services and functions: membership sales, membership service and engagement, learning and professional development programs, conferences, sponsorships/partnerships, and marketing. S/he will work closely with the President & CEO and FICPA Council to develop and execute strategies to grow and diversify revenue for the association while ensuring the organization is meeting the inherent needs of the profession it serves.
We are looking for a proven executive-level leader whose career in a similar-size or larger statewide or national membership, nonprofit, or for-profit organization has been highlighted by his or her vision in charting growth during times of significant change. The ideal candidate will be a goal-oriented professional possessing deep experience in blending expertise in marketing, sales, product development, consumer loyalty, and finance to achieve a business’ strategic objectives. S/he will serve as the right hand of the President & CEO and foster a culture of excitement and innovation while acting as a catalyst to drive growth and achieve organizational goals.
S/he will have a keen ability to translate both short and long-term plans into action, where success is defined by the attainment of companywide KPI’s set forth by the President & CEO and the FICPA Council.

Key Focus Areas
· Create and implement strategies across the business that maximize member loyalty, increase value, and organizational revenue.
· Manage the day-to-day business operations of the Membership, Learning & Development, Sponsorship, and Marketing departments to ensure that the association has the proper operating systems in place to grow and operate efficiently. Oversee the internal alignment between these departments to maximize internal productivity and end-user engagement.
· Increase the penetration of CPAs in the state of Florida who are members of the FICPA.
· Elevate non-dues revenue through learning & development courses, conferences, sponsorships, partnerships, and new programmatic offerings.
· Identify new areas of opportunity to diversify programs that will enhance member value.
· Oversee the marketing strategy of the organization to ensure messaging is tied to the needs of the profession it serves.
· Establish and monitor staff performance, development of goals, assignment of accountabilities, objective setting, and establishment of priorities.
· Analyze the behaviors of members to make data-driven decisions to create or refine strategies across the organization that optimize growth.
· Look outward for opportunities to expand, enter new areas, and/or strengthen existing programs while possessing a strong knowledge of internal operations to assess whether and how the organization can manage new risks. Stay ahead of emerging market trends.
· Foster an entrepreneurial and spirited environment that stimulates communication, cooperation, and commitment to the FICPA’s mission and engenders a team spirit in solving problems, identifying, and capturing new opportunities.
· Serve as a co-pilot to the President & CEO, working collaboratively to develop a culture aimed at creating solutions to barriers to growth.
Ideal Experience & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a track record of success:
· The CGO must be a seasoned leader with a minimum of at least 10 years of experience at the managerial or executive level. Experience with an organization of similar scale, scope, and complexity, requiring coordination with and among multiple programs and agendas is preferred.
· A proven history of maximizing customer engagement and retention to drive revenue is required.
· Experience innovating and growing revenue through professional development or sponsorship programs is preferred.
· A proven ability to integrate marketing messaging that will result in engagement from the audience served.
· The CGO must have a keen attention to detail and have experience making data-driven decisions.
· A proven track record of executing strategic objectives, monitoring KPI’s, and meeting performance goals and deadlines is required.
· Experience meeting key financial objectives and understanding and handling of multi-departmental budgeting and long-term financial forecast is required.
· Expertise in capturing the needs of the customer through solution-driven programs.
· Proven leadership ability to positively influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve objectives with a team approach.
· Strong initiative to take on new projects and to strive for continual improvement.
· Managing a budgeting process and allocating resources.
· Recruiting and retaining top-level talent across functional areas.
· Working with Board governance and key Board committees.
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field required. Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation is preferred.
